Mass Effect is full of lots of optional assignments players can undertake and there are also various things that can be discovered as they explore the many planets scattered throughout the Milky Way. One of the mysteries that players might stumble upon is the Prothean Ruin on the planet Eletania.
However, if you stumble across this ruin, chances are you won't be able to do much with it. In order to access it, you first need to complete a couple of particular assignments. Here's everything you need to know about how to activate the Prothean Ruin on Eletania.
Prerequisite Assignments
Before you can activate the Prothean Ruin, you first need to obtain the special Trinket from the Asari Consort Sha'ira.
This means undertaking the Citadel: Asari Consort assignment and convincing Septimus to stop his vendetta against Sha'ira. Most importantly, you must complete the Citadel: Xeltan's Complaint assignment that unlocks as part of the Consort assignment before finishing up with Sha'ira, as the trinket is the reward for dealing with the Elcor diplomat. We have a full walkthrough of completing both of these assignments right here.
Where to Find the Prothean Ruin On Eletania
You need to travel to the planet Eletania in the Hercules System, which can be found in the Attican Beta cluster.
Head towards the Anomaly that is in the southwest area of the map, and you will be able to Recover it via the usual hacking mini-game. This will activate it and raise the sphere into the sky.
Next, you can examine the Mysterious Globe in order to retrieve the information/vision from the artifact. You will be shown a series of on-screen text messages that detail an interesting event from the past where a Cro-Magnon Hunter was studying primitive humans.
