EA's financial report for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year (which is, up until April 2020) is now out, and it shows that they have a number of titles in the pipeline during the new fiscal year (FY21) - to be released by April 2021. One of them is an EA HD title, which supposedly refers to a remaster of a hit game - and fans are convinced it will be either Dead Space or Mass Effect.

The announced titles for FY21 are Burnout Paradise Remastered, Command & Conquer Remastered, FIFA 21, Madden NFL 21and NHL21However, the fine print at the bottom of the page adds that they "expect to announce" more titles soon, including "an unannounced EA SPORTS title, an additional EA HD title, four EA Partners titles, and two mobile soft-launches."

Naturally, a number of theories around the HD title have sprung up almost immediately. VentureBeat quotes EA chief executive officer Andrew Wilson as saying that the title is a remaster, and they claim that it will be the Mass Effect trilogy, but they don't exactly give a source on that. While many fans are hoping this turns out to be true, those clamoring for a Dead Space remaster haven't lost hope yet either.

Of course, it may turn out to be neither of these. After all, EA has always been reluctant to remaster their own games, but since they're seemingly warming up to the idea, they may opt for something completely different. Here's to hoping they'll make millions of fans extremely happy with whatever they choose to do.
