It's fair to say that Garrus Vakarian is one of the most beloved companions in the series. From the very first Mass Effect game, he was winning fans' hearts with his signature wit. Although, what many like most about him is his loyalty.
The Turian stays by your side throughout the original trilogy, whether you're a kind-hearted Paragon or cold-blooded Renegade. With all the help he gives you throughout the games, it's only fair he gets something back, and the present given by his fanbase is memes. 10 Love At First Sight
There are several reasons why fans regard Garrus as the best companion in the series, many of which surface in the first game. You meet the Turian on the Citadel when he's a C-Sec officer looking into Saren. Once recruited, it doesn't take long for him and Shepard to bond, as this meme points out.

9 The Turian Fashion Sense
All Turians, Garrus included, have a particular look where their armor or clothing resembles a large dome around their neck and shoulders. It's a design that humans don't seem to go for themselves, or at least not the ones in Mass Effect.
Margaery Tyrell from the famous Game Of Thrones television series once wore a very similar outfit to Garrus's signature attire. Even if you're a devoted Paragon player, at one point, you've likely considered doing a Renegade playthrough. Punching reporters, cutting off the Council, and pushing a merc out of the window are all a lot of fun.

Early in Mass Effect 2, you'll build your team to take on the Collectors. One of the names on your list is Archangel, who's causing problems for the local gangs on Omega.
Shepard poses as a merc freelancer to get close to the infamous Vigilante. When you make it to him, it turns out Archangel is actually Garrus. It plays out in a pretty similar way to Thor and the Hulk's meeting in the movie Thor: Ragnarok, thus this meme was born.
6 Waiting For An Excuse To Murder
Commander Shepard is a very influential figure in the Mass Effect Universe. The hero's actions don't just transform mega fans like Conrad Verner, either. Garrus is also heavily influenced by the Commander, as shown by how your choices directly impact the Turian's morality.

5 Shepard Beating Garrus In A Shootout
One of the best Garrus and Shepard moments occurs on the top of the Presidium in Mass Effect 3. The buddies engage in a friendly shooting competition to see who is the superior sniper. For the last shot, you can decide to miss on purpose to let Garrus win or take the victory for yourself.
The decision is a tricky one because you want to give Garrus the glory, but you don't want to be dishonest. This meme, however, shows how a Renegade Shepard would handle the situation. An Evil Commander doesn't care about others, and if they're also an Infiltrator, they're not going to lose a sniper battle.
4 Garrus Is Always Calibrating
The most common phrase uttered by Garrus throughout the trilogy is "Can It Wait For A Bit? I'm In The Middle Of Some Calibrations." Bioware uses the piece of dialogue in the second game to indicate that there are no more conversations to be had with the Turian at that time.
Although, the line has taken on a life of its own within the fanbase because of how often he says it. In fact, many Garrus memes include some mention of calibrations, including this one.
3 Better Than Kaidan
Few Mass Effect characters are as popular as everyone's favorite Turian, Garrus. One of the companions who's certainly not as likable as Vakarian is Kaidan Alenko. Poor Kaidan is one of the most disliked people in the series, with only a couple of people considering him to be the best crewmate on the Normandy.
