Team Secret have revealed their new Dota 2 roster ahead of the upcoming 2019-20 Dota Pro Circuit season. Like many top-level teams, Team Secret will not be competing in the first Minor or Major of the season. Instead, they will debut the new lineup as the second Major cycle commences in December.

Leaving the active Team Secret roster is position two Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng. The organization’s announcement states that MidOne has been moved to an inactive position so he can “take an extended break away from Dota 2.” MidOne first joined Team Secret in 2016 after placing fourth at The International with Fnatic. Secret placed 9-12th at The International 2017, and closed out that year with a second place finish at ESL One Hamburg and a win at DreamLeague Season 8. The team did not win any additional Majors throughout the 2018 DPC season, though they maintained consistent top-six finishes. They later placed 5-6th at The International 2018. The 2019 season saw Team Secret add Michał “Nisha” Jankowski and Ludwig “zai” Wåhlberg. With that roster, Secret achieved victories at The Chongqing Major, ESL One Katowice, the MDL Disneyland Paris Major, and ESL One Birmingham. They finished fourth at The International 2019, the best TI placing in the organization’s history.

Joining Team Secret is TI7 champion Lasse “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen. The Finnish player will be taking over the carry role, while Nisha is moved to the mid lane. Matu previously made a name for himself on Team Liquid, playing position one on the squad for nearly four years. He won The International in 2017 under the Team Liquid banner. He was released from the organization in June of this year, and attended TI9 with Chaos Esports. Chaos were eliminated from The International in last place, and the roster was released in October. MATUMBAMAN will now take up the carry position in Team Secret, debuting with the organization once the second Major cycle begins.

Departing Team Secret alongside MidOne is coach Lee "SunBhie" Jeong-jae, who joined the organization in June of 2017. SunBhie coached Secret through three Internationals and all three of their Dota Pro Circuit Major victories. Taking his place is Lee "Heen" Seung Gon, who has previously coached both TNC Predator and Team Liquid.

Team Secret’s first appearance will take place at the DreamLeague Season 13: The Leipzig Major qualifier, which is slated to run from December 1st-6th. They will then compete at the ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational Singapore, beginning on December 17th.
