No movie in recent history has been speculated upon quite like Spider-Man: No Way Home. From the return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's versions of Spidey, to Doctor Strange not being real, to dissecting every piece of promotional material put out by Marvel, fans have conjured up quite a few theories about what we'll see in the webslinger's third solo MCU movie. Another one of these theories is that the movie will see Charlie Cox reprise his role of Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil.

As of now, these theories haven't been backed by any major evidence - except perhaps Lizard getting punched in the face by thin air - but Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige may have just changed all that. In a conversation with CinemaBlend, he was asked about the possibility of Daredevil making it to the MCU and who he would be played by. Feige, who is usually very secretive about his projects, replied, "If you were to see Daredevil in upcoming things, Charlie Cox, yes, would be the actor playing Daredevil. Where we see that, how we see that, when we see that, remains to be seen."

So there you have it. If and when Daredevil finally makes his MCU debut, he will be played by Charlie Cox, who became a fan favourite after his portrayal of the hero in the Netflix series. However, while Feige has said that he'd pick Cox for the role, he didn't reveal when we'll see that happen. Fan theories have suggested that Matt Murdock would be hired as the Parker family's lawyer after everyone finds out Spider-Man's identity, but the actor himself has denied this.

We still don't have a clear idea of what's finally going to go down in Spider-Man: No Way Home. All we know for sure is that Spidey and Strange mess with the multiverse, leading to familiar faces like Green Goblin, Electro, Sandman, and Lizard making a return.

Speaking of alternate universes and Spider-Man, Sony Pictures Entertainment dropped the first look at Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. It will be a sequel to the hit 2018 animated movie and will launch on October 7, 2022.

Spider-Man: No Way Home on the other hand, is only a few days away, launching on December 17, 2021.
