There were a lot of gaming icons created when the industry was still young. Among mainstays like Mario, Sonic, and Pac-Man, there was Capcom's Blue Bomber, otherwise known as Mega Man. Mega Man is a robot known for taking down other robot bosses in notoriously difficult games. His series went on hiatus for a while, but now he's back in full swing thanks to getting love from Capcom, his 30th anniversary and appearances in Super Smash Bros.

Mega Man fans now have it great, with the franchise continuing and the character getting plenty of love. If you know a Mega Man fan, then this gift guide is just what you need.

10 MEGA MAN PIXEL PALS LIGHT

Merchoid

Pixel Pals are neat little figures that recreate (or reimagine) popular characters in 8-bit sprite art. The Mega Man Pixel Pals essentially recreates his sprite from the classic NES games and lets people put it up on display.

It's not just a nifty decoration, though, as this one also functions as a light. Just put in some AAA batteries, and watch as this classic Mega Man lights up your own room. It could function as a nice mood light or even a desk lamp to keep your eyes from getting too strained. Either way, Mega Man fans will be pleased.

9 MEGA MAN LIMITED EDITION COIN

Merchoid

Collectors love limited edition items, which is what makes this Mega Man coin such a great find for fans. This coin was made in honor of the Blue Bomber's 30th anniversary. It has two sides: one featuring an image of Mega Man, and the other with the number 30.

What makes this coin so appealing to fans is how there are only limited quantities of it. Less than 10,000 of these things were made, which means that they'll be extremely hard to find once they sell out. For a diehard fan to have one of their own would be an absolute joy.

8 MEGA MAN 11

Amazon

The Blue Bomber's return to his own series came with last year's Mega Man 11. Capcom worked hard to understand why the older games were loved so much in the first place and essentially did that with a new graphical style and a few mechanical adjustments. With the game priced inexpensively, this became a steal for many fans.

After years of waiting for a new entry in the franchise, this was proof that the Blue Bomber had a place in modern gaming. Go back to the basics with this game, which is little more than pure Mega Man in its best form.

7 MEGA MAN LEGACY COLLECTION 1 AND 2

Amazon

Before Capcom gave Mega Man a new game, the company tested if there was an audience by releasing numerous Mega Man Legacy Collections. These were packages filled with games from Mega Man's past released on modern consoles.

When they were brought to the Nintendo Switch, these collections were appropriately bundled together. Fans can buy the Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2 to get many of the character's classic entries all on one package (and a partial download). This is a great way of getting an entire series in one, convenient location. Players can marathon the history of one of their favorite characters.

6 JUMPING MEGA MAN FUNKO POP!

Amazon

Funko has created Pop! figures that stand out more than the standard versions. Incorporating character poses, great detail, or some combination of the two, Funko created some of their best figures.

A great example would be the jumping Mega Man Funko Pop!. Mega Man is known for his iconic jumping animation, which has been replicated by this Funko Pop! figure. Mega Man is supported in the air by a clear beam with his Mega Buster out and his fist up. This makes the figure a prime collectible for fans who want a bit more personality with their Mega Man collection.

5 PROTO MAN FUNKO POP!

Amazon

While Mega Man is the most recognizable robot created by Dr. Light, he wasn't the first. Before the Blue Bomber ever started saving the world, Dr. Light created Proto Man. Proto Man proved to be a bit of a failure for Dr. Light due to him disobeying orders and leaving.

That said, Proto Man would later become a famous part of the Mega Man series. Thus, it was only a matter of time before he received his own Funko Pop! figure. This figure gets all the sleek details of Proto Man correct, from his dark shades to his massive shield and yellow cape.

4 MEGA MAN: THE BOARD GAME

Amazon

Mega Man: The Board Game is a board game made by the fans for the fans. In it, players will each take the role of the Blue Bomber. There are robot masters across the board (each represented by well-modeled 3D figures) that the players can tackle in any order.

Once they tackle those robots, they can then move to the center of the board, where they must face Dr. Wily. With every great figure and piece, it's clear that this board game was a labor of love. Better yet, there are two extra robot masters that can be purchased as an expansion to add more adventure to the game.

3 MEGA MAN.EXE NENDOROID

Amazon

The Mega Man Battle Network series was a wide diversion for the franchise. Nonetheless, it's unique mechanics and fun battle strategy made it a hit among fans as well. Mega Man received a different design in those games, looking a bit more modern and with more detail than normal.

This design was referred to as Mega Man.EXE. This version of the character would later be given its own Nendoroid, which is a downright cool figure. It's fully poseable and has swappable heads that include the mouth guard. The figure also includes equipment from the games, including the sword and bombs.

2 MEGA MAN PIXEL TACTICS BLUE BOX

Amazon

Mega Man and Pixel Tactics combine in the Mega Man Pixel Tactics card game. If you've played Pixel Tactics, you know what to expect here. Two players go head to head in an all-out battle. They arrange armies by selecting leaders and having character cards surround them.

They can use extra cards in their hands to buff their army or execute one-time effects. In the Mega Man Blue Box version, players will control characters from the first three games. There are Red Box and Orange Box versions that incorporate different characters from games four through six.

1 MEGA MAN 11: CELEBRATING 30 YEARS OF THE BLUE BOMBER

Amazon

With the release of Mega Man 11, Capcom was celebrating the character's 30th anniversary. The company didn't celebrate with just a game, though, as it also released Mega Man 11: Celebrating 30 Years of the Blue Bomber.

Not only does this book offer some tips to get through the latest game in the series, but it also looks back at the history of the character. It details behind-the-scenes information, interviews with people who worked on the games, and even concept art showing how the character evolved over time. The book also includes various fan art and comes with an exclusive poster for maximum value.
