It seems like Metroid fans just can't stop winning at the moment, as Nintendo has announced that Metroid Fusion is heading to the Nintendo Switch Online service mere weeks after shadow dropping a Metroid Prime remaster. Metroid Fusion will become available on the Nintendo Switch Online on March 9, though be aware you'll need the Expansion Pack upgrade in order to play Game Boy Advance games. If you haven't played Metroid Fusion yet or were a bit too young to play when it first launched, it's fairly similar to the first Metroid game, but with a slight twist. There are still the branching corridors and sci-fi environments to explore, but you'll occasionally have to deal with SA-X, a mutated set of Samus Aran's armor that hunts you down throughout the game.Related: What is Riley Even Doing In Metroid Prime?Nintendo announced that a selection of Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games will be playable via this service during the Nintendo Direct last month, though Metroid Fusion wasn't included in the lineup. It was included in the list of upcoming titles though, alongside the likes of Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, Fire Emblem, F-Zero Maximum Velocity, and Golden Sun. Given the timing between the Direct and the release of Metroid Fusion, it's safe to assume we'll see a new GBA game released every few weeks or so, though Nintendo has stated there isn't a schedule in place.

One set of games Nintendo fans still have their fingers crossed for is the Pokemon games. The ones released on the Game Boy and Game Boy Advance like Red, Silver, and Emerald are considered some of the best in the series, and the removal of a disclaimer regarding Pokemon Stadium trades has fans hoping they'll be added soon. Now that Pokemon Day has come and gone though, it seems pretty unlikely. Maybe one day.
