OfflineTV member Michael Reeves surprised fans with an impromptu Twitch stream yesterday – drawing in over 30,000 viewers in a matter of minutes.

Michael approached the stream with a nonchalant attitude, embracing his lack of experience in the streaming realm. He joined the OfflineTV house as a bit of an odd-man-out in that he is a YouTuber, not a streamer. The technology guru didn't plan a grand debut either, hopping onto Twitch on a whim. "Feels more productive to just stream video games [rather] than play video games and not stream video games."

Nevertheless, fans loved it.

Michael didn't take things too seriously, titling his first stream "I'm a Gamer Now" and opening with the intentionally dry line, "I'm gonna play Minecraft with my friends now." He booted up the stream and immediately fell into a wave of chaos, trying to figure out his settings as he went. Over an hour into the stream, Michael decided to set his bitrate at a staggeringly low number for fun, turning his broadcast into a pixelated mess.

After some Minecraft and VALORANT, Michael pivoted to working on some coding for the last hour, giving fans a glimpse at his latest project. Essentially, he is programming an AI to be able to identify specified visuals (think Where's Waldo?) – but faster than a human.

The stream might've been filled with on-the-fly adjustments and clumsy moments, but it was a huge success regardless. Michael pulled an anti-SlikeR and got partnered before the one hour mark in his modest 6-hour debut. Not only that, but apparently he reached 30,000 viewers in 15 minutes and was almost instantaneously affiliated.

Michael isn't a streamer... yet. His claim to fame came through his incredibly entertaining YouTube videos, focusing on a combination of humor and technology. Although his content usually comes in the form of a single (approximately 10-minute) video per month or two – it's always well-worth the wait. Michael is a talented programmer/engineer, and he never fails to create ridiculous inventions. His latest video is a riot, featuring some OfflineTV members and a horrifically dangerous surgery robot.

Speaking of which, Michael did mention that he was working on a new YouTube video, so fans have a lot to look forward to between that and a (potential) new Twitch channel.
