It was recently revealed that Microsoft privately presented Bethesda boss Todd Howard with a special gift after the latter won the Lifetime Achievement Award at GDC 2016. The gift was a special kind of game, only accessible for Howard himself, that came equipped with a single 1000G achievement.

The news comes in the wake of Microsoft's recent acquisition of Bethesda for $7.5 billion. According to a blog post published by Todd Howard — which discusses all things Bethesda and Microsoft since Morrowind was originally ported to Xbox — the achievement was simply titled, "Lifetime," in obvious honor of his award.

The post, published on the official Bethesda website, mentions that Howard has received numerous industry awards throughout his lengthy stint at Bethesda, but was most humbled by one honor in particular. After receiving his Lifetime Achievement Award, he jokingly said in his acceptance speech, "I wonder how many achievement points this one is worth?", clearly referring to Xbox's achievement system.

Although this appeared to be a seemingly innocuous joke, Howard was gifted a special, hand-crafted gift a few months later. Ostensibly an ordinary code that could be used to redeem a game on the Xbox Store, Howard soon realized that this particular game was named in his honor — and as soon as he launched it, he immediately popped the 1000G "Lifetime" achievement.

The fact that this particular achievement is worth 1000 Gamerscore makes it the most valuable one on Xbox. There are two achievements on Xbox 360 worth 500G in joint second place, but aside from that Howard's "Lifetime" achievement is miles ahead of the rest. As of now, the limit for any individual achievement has since been amended to just 200G.

"It still sits in my list when I check, and I smile every time," Howard writes in the blog post."

"It has been a lifetime," he continues, wrapping up his personal account of the shared history between Microsoft and Bethesda. "But there’s more to come and achievements to unlock together. We hope you join us."
