Shadow of War Definitive Edition will remind you of all the money you spent on loot boxes by removing the market and giving you all that locked-away content for free.

Well, not free--you still have to buy the game. But there’s more to Middle-earth: Shadow of War Definitive Edition than just giving you all the skins and items you’ve always wanted but could never afford.

The orc army-building simulator game is getting a whole host of improvements besides the complete removal of the market. First, all the Expansion Pass DLC will now be included in the core game, which means Slaughter Tribe Nemesis Expansion, Outlaw Tribe Nemesis Expansion, Blade of Galadriel Story Expansion, and Desolation of Mordor Story Expansion are all getting bundled into the campaign.

But on top of that, Shadow of War Definitive Edition will include new story campaigns, missions, playable characters, Orc tribes, weapons, abilities, enemies, a new region, and even a new gameplay mode.

Orc AI has also been improved with added traits and behaviors for Orc enemies, along with more Legendary Orcs to encounter. More training orders are also included to help train up your army in newer and better ways.

Definitive Edition touts a new “richer campaign experience” thanks to all these enhancements, along with a streamlined epilogue and post-game for those that want the conquering of fortresses to never end.

Actually, if that’s what you really want, there’s a new game mode called Endless Siege. It’s exactly as it sounds: an endless wave of enemies crashing against your fortress. If that’s not enough challenge, there are also two new difficulty levels: Brutal and Gravewalker, which will make every fight tougher than anything you’ve ever experienced.

The level cap of followers increases to 80 in Definitive Edition, while Captain level cap has grown to 85. Let’s not forget the player character, as Talion and Celebrimbor both get new Prestige skills and upgrades.

In addition to all the skins you used to have to gamble on the market for, there are now new skins for Celebrimbor, Eltariel, Dark Eltariel, Baranor, and Serka.

If you've been on the fence, this really sounds like the best Shadow of War will ever be. It might be time to pick this one up.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War Definitive Edition released August 31st on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
