While it isn't set in a fantasy world or anything, Minecraft still isn't exactly realistic. The real world isn't made of blocks, nor are there creatures like Creepers, Skeleton Archers, or Ender Dragons roaming around.

That being said, the game does include some items that real humans use, such as beds and coal. And they function in Minecraft in much the same way as they do in the real world. But you can't say that for everything in the title. There are plenty of fictitious items or things that function differently within the blocky world than they do in the real one. Out of them, these are the ones that would benefit you in your actual life.

9 Block Of Redstone

Redstone can be used to power up anything that needs it in Minecraft, from pressure plates to switches. And there are a lot of interesting contraptions you can make with the mineral. Yet, consider how much more useful it would be in the real world.

After all, based on the logic of Minecraft, Redstone is an unlimited power source that can work on anything. So, in theory, you could use it as a replacement for electricity. Also, a block of the stuff is so powerful that you'd probably only need one to power your entire home.

8 Torch (Minecraft's Version)

Torches, of course, exist in real life. However, the ones from Minecraft are a lot better. After all, you can place them on any surface without needing a holder or anything similar. So, Minecraft torches are a lot more versatile.

More importantly, though, unlike real ones, they don't burn out. You would be able to place a bunch of them in your home, and they would keep it shining forever. This would help you save a bunch of money on electricity.

7 Ender Pearl

There are plenty of items in Minecraft that can be useful in the real world. But not everything you own needs to be helpful in some way. Plenty of things exist to provide entertainment. This is the case for Ender Pearls.

With these things, you can perform short-range teleportation as you throw them and appear where they land. Admittedly, they're somewhat dangerous since you do get hurt on your landing. As long as you can take the pain, though, you'll be fine. Plus, at least in the real world, you won't need to fight one of the strongest mobs, Endermen, for them.

6 Bone Meal (Minecraft's Version)

Like in real-life, Bone Meal serves as a fertilizer. Yet, it does a far better job in the world of Minecraft. You can just touch the floor with the item to make flowers and grass grow.

Plus, if you plant a sapling, you can simply hit it with a pile of Bone Meal to instantly make a tree. So, in real life, as long as you have plenty of it, reforestation would be easy. On top of that, it works for crops, too. Therefore, you don't need water or the correct temperature to grow food. All you have to do is tap crops with Bone Meal.

5 Milk Bucket (Minecraft's Version)

Real-life milk is pretty good. People have it with cereal, put it in their coffee, or even drink it on its own. While it has its purpose, it pales in comparison to the milk from a Minecraft bucket.

Taste-wise, they're probably the same. But Minecraft milk has magical properties, as it can heal you of all ailments. For example, if you get poisoned, you can drink a bit of milk, and you'll be cured. Therefore, in the real world, drinking this milk would become the primary treatment for all diseases. It would save a lot of lives - albeit the world would probably need more cows.

4 Potion Of Swiftness

There are many potions in the game that can provide buffs that would be useful in the real world. Most of the benefits, though, you can get from other sources to varying degrees. Yet, there aren't a lot of things in the title that can make you quicker, like the Potion Of Swiftness.

After drinking it, you gain an incredible amount of pace. If you had that same boost in real life, you could get places much quicker. Or you can win a lot of foot races with it - assuming they don't drug test, as the potion would probably appear in the results.

3 Pig Spawner

Unfortunately, people around the world are always in need of food. However, if Pig Spawners existed, that problem could be solved quickly. You just have to place the things in countries and communities that require food to give them an unlimited supply of ham and bacon.

It isn't great for the animals themselves or people who don't eat meat, but there isn't a vegan food spawner in the game. And overall, it would be a positive thing for the world to have.

2 Totem Of Undying

Minecraft Totem Of Undying

The Totem Of Undying gives you a second chance at life. If you take fatal damage with one of these in your hands, you are magically kept alive. It isn't the perfect item, as it's very rare, and you need to be holding it to reek its benefits.

Naturally, this means you would need to be doing the same in real life. This isn't ideal, but it can still be helpful. For instance, any time you're planning to do something dangerous, you can make sure you're holding a Totem. It's like a safety net.

1 Ender Chest

Ender Chests are very magical. Anything you put in one, can be taken out of another. This is very helpful in Minecraft, and it can also be useful in the real world. For example, you can place one at work and the other at home, so you can access items in either place.

Alternatively, you can keep one at a partner or friend's place and put clothes in it, so you always have access to fresh clothing after staying over. Plus, it's theft-proof, as whoever opens it only sees the items they put in there. Thus, even the best thief couldn't take your items out of it unless you opened it for them.
