The players who are still interested in playing the original Super Smash Broson Nintendo 64 can add a new fighter to the roster with the help of a mod, as it's now possible to play as Wario in the game.

Smash Remix is an overhaul of the original version of Super Smash Bros. that adds new characters and stages to the game. The current patch for Smash Remix adds Ganondorf, Falco, Young Link, Dr. Mario, and Dark Samus, all of which are reworked versions of existing characters from the game.

The latest character to be added in Smash Remix is a fighter that didn't appear in the series until Brawl. The trailer for the latest Smash Remix has revealed that Wario has arrived in the game. Wario doesn't have the range of moves from his later appearances, like the motorcycle, but he does have some distinctive moves that are true to the character and differentiate him from the versions of Mario, Dr. Mario, and Luigi that are already in the game.

The latest patch will also add new stages, moving platforms, and framerate optimization. The player will also be able to select regional variants for each character. Super Smash Bros. was released long before Nintendo worked out how to patch its games, so characters worked differently in each regional version of the game, as they were tweaked between releases. The new characters have now received their own Break The Target stages.

The Super Smash Bros. series has always been a popular choice for mods and fan games, with Project M being an incredible reworking of Brawl in order to make it more like Melee. Super Smash Bros. Wii U also had a number of character skin mods that allowed fans to play as anyone they want. The work that has gone into Smash Remix is staggering and it offers one of the most exciting ways to experience the game that launched one of the best-selling fighting game series of all time.
