A Spider-Man modder has managed to make Doc Ock playable, both as a skin for Spider-Man and with his boss fight moveset.

Although it's mostly focused on Peter Parker, Marvel's Spider-Man features several other playable characters, including sections with Miles Morales and Mary Jane. You can now add the game's main antagonist, Otto Octavius, to that list now thanks to a new mod that's been doing the rounds.

The mod comes courtesy of YouTuber jedijosh920, who showed it off in a new video. The mod currently isn't available for download for everyone, but jedijosh920 was able to show it off and it's pretty impressive.

Not only does the mod allow you to essentially reskin Peter Parker and have him use Doc Ock's model, sans the robotic tentacles, but it also seems to make his boss fight form playable, as jedijosh is shown controlling Ock with his tentacles and seems to be able to make him punch as well. He can't do much more than swing his tentacles and stomp around, but it's still pretty cool to see.

Interestingly, this form can also be made to swing around the city, despite having some completely different standing animations and going into a T-pose whenever perched on a ledge. His arms also shoot straight up like a tree when doing anything but standing, so there's that.

Of course, nothing to do with Spider-Man is free of memes, so this mod has one of its own. Every time Doc Ock does anything in the game, whether it be standing still, performing a takedown, or even just swinging a tentacle, he'll also scream "Peter" at the top of his lungs. Guess he won't be keeping his secret identity for very long.

If jedijosh920's work seems familiar to you, you might remember that they similarly modded Wilson Fisk to make him playable, as well as characters like the Rhino and Black Cat. They've also added suits like No Way Home's final suit and the long-awaited Symbiote suit.
