Wahoo! Modder SuperLouis64 has somehow made Super Mario 64 playable with the Xbox peripheral Kinect... and a mini-trampoline.

SuperLouis64 made jumping on the trampoline translate to pressing the A button, crouching in real-life as the Z button, spinning as a turn for Mario, and a punching motion as the B button. In his hand, he has a single Joy-con for movement. During the video, he shows himself rapidly spinning in a circle to throw Bowser towards the bombs. He said that it took several attempts to get this coding to work properly, but all that effort paid off as the control scheme looks pretty intuitive.

The modder was prepared to die for Dark Souls 3 with a Ring Fit Adventure controller. As an alternative for exercise while at home, this mod has the player constantly running to move in the game. A squeeze of the resistance band corresponds to an in-game attack. He also finished Dark Souls 3 with a Guitar Hero controller with an impressive 4-hour playthrough.

Super Mario 64 is a classic game through and through. When it released in 1996, it became the gold standard for 3D platformers and is commonly called one of the most important games to release in the 3D era of video games. It also has classic stages in Mario history like Bob-Omb Battlefield and Dire, Dire Docks.

Fans are still playing Super Mario 64 to this very day. Last month, a streamer called Simply broke the world record for the game by 15 seconds. The speedrunner beat Super Mario 64 in a mere 1:38:28 and celebrated with his family. His parents seemed more ecstatic than he did!

It has been reported that a remastered collection of the 3D Mario games is incoming this year. Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario Galaxy 2 are rumored to be remastered with the Wii U title Super Mario 3D World releasing separately. Apparently, these releases are supposed to help celebrate Mario's 35th birthday. We could hear more during a rumored Nintendo Direct this month.

In addition, recent leaks from GameStop show that the store has 3 new unidentified Switch SKUs and that there will be maintenance revolving around Nintendo products on July 14. Patterns like this usually indicate that a Direct is on the way, but this isn't guaranteed.
