Monster Hunter: World's Iceborne expansion continues to receive a healthy amount of support and updates, which in return makes players more engaged and busy with new monsters to hunt and new gear to craft. The latest update introduces a roadmap as well as a return of a "fan favorite" monster.

During the latest Developer Diary for the game, Capcom has announced that Alatreon will be making its way into Iceborne sometime in May. Alatreon originally appeared in Monster Hunter Tri for the Nintendo Wii as the final enemy of the multiplayer portion, and one thing that makes the Elder Dragon monster so unique is its ability to manipulate all of the elements. In other words, Alatreon is fully capable of switching its elemental attacks, so it would be in one's best interest to walk into the fight with positive elemental resistance for every element.

Aside from revealing Alatreon, Capcom has also unveiled a roadmap for the game that shows all planned updates for the next few months. With the latest update that adds Furious Rajang, Raging Brachydios, and layered weapons into the game, players can look forward to Master Rank Kulve Taroth, Arch-Tempered Namielle (who will probably follow a similar concept as High Rank Arch-Tempered monsters), and an Iceborne in-game event called Full Bloom Fest in the future.

One thing that is worth mentioning is that there will be a title update sync in April. What this means is that PC players will finally be able to sync with console players in regards to future updates. Since the PC version of the game (including Iceborne) released later, all updates that console players received were received by PC players at a much later date. April's title update sync aims to eliminate that and essentially breach the gap between PC and console fans for the future.

Finally, according to the official roadmap, even more content is planned for "June onwards." As a result, it's safe to say that even more monsters will be released for players to fight against, which in return will expand their customization options and which gear they will be able to craft.
