Capcom has just announced the return of the Monster Hunter Orchestra Concert for 2021. The concert series that has been held each year since 2014 will showcase fan-favorite tunes from throughout the series and will now feature brand new music from the recently released Monster Hunter Rise.

What started as a one-time thing in 2009 has since become an annual event in Japan, although recently it has gone online due to the COVID pandemic. Last year's concert was online-only and so too will this year's, but 2021's concert will also "include a powerful combination of video visuals featuring beloved characters and monsters" from throughout the series.

At the helm will be Hirofumi Kurita, the maestro who has conducted the Monster Hunter Orchestra since 2014. The Orchestra will be the Tokyo Philharmonic with special guests Izumi Kato on vocals, Hideki Ishigaki on the shakuhachi, Momoka Enomoto on the biwa, Sho Asano on tsugaru-shamisen, and Daisuke Miyazaki on electric guitar.

Also delivering a special behind-the-scenes speech will be Ryozo Tsujimoto, Monster Hunter series producer at Capcom.

The Monster Hunter Orchestra Concert 2021 will be held on September 28 at 7 PM JST (6 AM EST, 3 AM PST, 11 AM BST). Tickets are ¥3,000 (or $28 USD) and are non-refundable. Head to the concert website to purchase tickets and choose your streaming venue. Video-on-demand streaming will begin on October 11 if you can't wake up that early to see the concert live.
