In Monster Hunter Rise, your primary objective is to protect the village of Kamura from an impending attack from the game's flagship monster, Magnamalo. Its gameplay loop would have you increasing your skills and hunter rank by hunting other monsters, whose parts you use to craft increasingly better gear in preparation for that big fight.

According to HowLongToBeat.com, completing the core game should take about 19 and a half hours. But for many players, defeating Magnamalo and rolling credits is just the start of their adventure, since the game has a lot more to offer in its post-game portion.

As of the time of this writing, there are more than 60 monsters in Monster Hunter Rise. More monsters are expected to be added in future updates, including next summer's Sunbreak expansion. This means that a 100% completion of the game would remain an ongoing endeavor for the foreseeable future.

That said, any player willing to invest their time in what is currently available will surely be rewarded for their effort. Aside from hunting all the current monsters, completionists will also want to craft every single available armor set for their hunters, including matching sets for their felynes and palamutes. This in itself would necessitate having to face some of those monsters multiple times to gather enough monster parts. So when it is all said and done, players can expect to spend around 130 hours, according to HowLongToBeat.com.
