In Monster Hunter Rise, you earn the tier of high rank after you complete the game up to a certain point. Under this, you are able to start more difficult quests. These can be assigned inside the building past the tea shop by talking to Minoto, twin sister of quest maiden Hinoa. Despite being the exact same fights, hub quests are notoriously difficult compared to the regular quests.

Think of them as playing a version of the game in a high-challenge setting. It's great for veteran Monster Hunter players or new people who want to try something that requires more precise skill. To successfully do these, you need good strong weapons, some of which require material that is only available in hub quests. Here are the best high-rank weapons. They can help on rampage quests as well.

10 Tigrex Divide I

The Tigrex Divide I is a sword and shield set that has a rarity of three and has a base attack of 160. Despite having a twenty percent demerit against affinities, it's an excellent starter because of how straightforward it is to farm for, only requiring materials that drop from defeating a Tigrex.

Tigrex can be found in Frost Islands, Sandy Plains, and the Lava Caverns. To make the set, you need five Tigrex claws, two Tigrex scales, and two Tigrex fangs. It costs 7,000 zeni to make.

9 Leaping Glaive II

Insect glaives can be pretty tricky to master, but it is definitely worth doing. The water-based Leaping Glaive II is the perfect thing to combat fire-based monsters such as Aknosom. To make it, you will need to have hunted the high-rank version of Tetranodon to get the plus material from that specific version.

Any forging or upgrade recipe with a little "+" sign next to the material means that it is from the hub quest version of that hunt. For Leaping Glaive II, you need two Tetranodon Beak+, three Tetra Carapace+, two Torrent Sac, and three Carbalite Ore. It costs 9,600 zeni to make.

8 Elite Blade II

Forging high-rank tier weapons gets more expensive the higher the rarity you go up, so it's best to start out with the lower to medium rarity ones that have materials easy to farm. The Elite Blade II is a rarity of four sword and shield weapon with a base attack of 170.

While it doesn't have an affinity, it hits hard enough to make up for that. To get it, you need four carbalite ore, four dragonite ore, and three piercing claws. It costs 8,000 zeni to make.

7 Kamura Glintblades V

Dual blades are one of the most no-fuss weapon lines to use that work really well for first-time players. The early Kamura blades line may seem pretty weak compared to some of the other early dual blades you can make, but it's definitely not one to sleep on.

The late-game form, Kamura Glintblades V, is a really powerful weapon that comes in handy for both hunts and rampages. It is also simple to get materials for. To make it, you need eight carbalite ore, three bullfango pelt+, two light crystals, and three guild tickets. It costs 12,000 zeni to make.

6 Die Walkure

The Charge Blade is in the melee weapon family and does cut damage. One of the most useful charge blades is the Die Walkure. It is a thunder-based weapon upgraded from weapons made with khezu material, though it does not require any actual Khezu parts.

Thunder is a very niche affinity category that only affects a few monsters - but those ones it does are the ones that are common to hunt for easy farming material like Tetraodon, Lagombi, and Arzuros. To make this, you need two magna soul prism, three zinogre shocker+, three firecell stones, and one wyvern gem. It costs 30,000 zeni to make.

5 King Teostra Blade

The Great Sword weapons do a lot of damage, but they take a little bit of practice to get used to using if you aren't acclimated to the feeling of playing with a heavy clunky weapon. It's best to test it out in practice mode before investing in the more expensive ones so you know if it works for you.

One of the best ones would be King Teostra Blade, the great sword that does blast damage. You should have at least one weapon that does blast damage because it works on some really nasty hunts such as Rajang. To make it, you need one Gleaming Shell, two Fire Dragon Scale+, and one Teostra Gem. It costs 75,000 zeni to make.

4 Arko Unu White

Bows are powerful weapons that can do some special moves using wirebugs. They can do piercing or spread damage or sometimes both. Piercing damage is best for when you want to target a certain part of the monster to break. It's not recommended to use bows against fast monsters that like to directly charge because you'll probably just keep getting knocked down and lose damage fast.

The Arko Unu White is an ice damage-dealing bow that comes highly recommended for the fact it's strong and easy to get materials for, using mostly parts from Bnahabra. To make it, you need two fucium ore, three gracium, four bnahabra carapace, and two monster broth. It costs 13,200 zeni to make.

3 Great Azure

If you prefer a weapon category that has very linear movement, the lance will be perfect for you. Made from parts of Great Baggi, the Great Azure isn't too difficult to farm for and can do sleep damage to the foe. When a monster is asleep, it will take extra damage from your hits. However, certain ones can resist it more than others so be mindful of what hunts you bring it to.

Some of the apex bosses, in particular, can resist it, so it's better for the mid to later game bosses like Volvidon and Barioth. To make the Great Azure, you need three Somnacanth Sedative, four Great Baggi Claw+, three Coma Sac, and one Bird Wyvern Gem. It costs 24,000 zeni to make.

2 Czar Switch Axe

Most weapons in the Switch Axe family do elemental damage. The Czar Switch Axe in particular does paralysis damage, which can disable the movements of a foe.

The monster with the lowest resistance to paralysis is the regular Diablos, one of the toughest bosses you'll encounter in the game, so it's worth bringing this or any paralysis-based weapon to their fight. To make it, you need two firecell stones, four fucium ore, and four monster hard bones. It costs 20,000 zeni to make.

1 Cursed Ocarina

If you tend to enjoy the role of being a support when it comes to multiplayer battles, a hunting horn might work for you. The instrument's musical notes can buff your team. Make sure to learn how to use the songs on it before bringing it into a hunt. A good one is the Cursed Ocarina, a poison-based horn. The effects of its melody are earplugs, which can prevent being stunned by a roar.

This weapon also has the wind pressure negated buff and elemental attack boost. To make it, you need material dropped from the monster Chamelos, which is one crimson liquid, three chameleos spikes, and one chameleos gem. It costs 75,000 zeni to make.
