During Capcom's inaugural E3 showcase, the publisher offered information on major updates coming to Monster Hunter Rise.

The Switch exclusive Monster Hunter Rise released on March 26 to practically universal acclaim. Rise combined elements of classic Monster Hunter with many of the accessibility and quality-of-life updates first introduced in Monster Hunter World in 2018. Monster Hunter Rise features 61 monsters (so far) with more to come, as detailed in today's livestream presentation.

The first Capcom Collab for Monster Hunter Rise will be with the upcoming Monster Hunter Stories 2. Starting June 18, players will get to experience a new Stories-inspired quest. Update 3.1 is coming soon, which introduces a host of new mission types, cosmetics, and stickers available through paid DLC. The update launches on June 24th.

Monster Hunter Rise was confirmed for a PC release at launch, but like Monster Hunter World before it, the PC version wouldn't lag behind by almost a year. Updates for World released at a slightly accelerated pace on PC to help close the gap, and by the time the Iceborne expansion released, PC was only four months behind. It's likely we'll see a similar release schedule for Monster Hunter Rise on PC.
