If there's one thing Capcom loves in Monster Hunter World, its crossover events. The main game featured a small quest focused on the Assassin's Creed series that let players unlock a layered armor set and an assassin's hood tool. With Iceborne upping the ante to Master Rank, it's time to upgrade that hood as well.

Starting April 10, players will be able to partake in an event quest aptly named "The Assassin." The main prize will be a better working assassin's hood, though we aren't sure what the quest entails. A short teaser shows players sneaking up on a Legiana, but that doesn't seem like a particularly taxing challenge.

Is this worth doing? While I'm partial to the temporal mantle, the assassin's hood is really quite good for traversing the Guiding Lands. You're practically invisible while wearing it and monsters are keen to let you be when you have it on. That's wonderful for resource gathering, not to mention it delivers a hell of a punch when you decide to attack.

Unless the quest is pitting you against a plethora of monsters all at once, it'll probably be a fun way to upgrade some of your gear. That's never a bad thing.
