Monster Hunter World is full of specialized armor builds made for different playstyles and fighting styles. With the Iceborne DLC being released on Steam, one can imagine the many more! While it's important to watch your defense stats, buffs and immunities, don't we all deep-down just want to look fun?

The large action RPG is also full of aesthetically pleasing armor colors, costume-armor and armor sets that take you to a whole other world. Here are some of those sets, ranked.

10 Kirin (Main)

Not only is the great Kirin monster in the Coral Highlands a gorgeous frost unicorn itself, but you can be too! Ignoring the fact that this armor piece is clearly unfit for any real fighting as it is a fuzzy bikini - we want cuteness and we want it now!

Most regular (perhaps more realistically practical) armor is of deep colors and is large and clunky. This set is light in color and weight, taking you to a whole new world. Let's all sign a petition for pastel-colored armor!

9 Harvest (Event)

This cartoon-ish armor set is special to the fall season via tickets and sturdy bone during the Autumn Harvest Festival. If this doesn't scream campy galore, we don't know what armor would.

To be a creepy skeleton that looks like a villain in a child's cartoon, or to be some large, clumpy purple pumpkin would be an honor.

8 Kulve Taroth (Pop-Up Quest)

The Kulve Taroth is a large, gold-plated beast whose quest is only occasionally unlockable to higher ranks. This has got to be one of the more extravagant armor sets as you end up looking like a wealthy, extraordinary royal that used to be a warrior.

That, or you look like a powerful character a protagonist would run into and whom you could never tell if they were evil or not. But anyhow, who doesn't want to walk around killing monsters in shimmering gold?

7 Blossom (Event)

This is a special armor set available for grabs during Spring festivals. Though it's not necessarily plated, protective armor, it's also not a flat out Kirin bikini either! The Blossom set is tasteful and complete.

Wearing this set, you appear ready for some tea in a flower-infested garden! While also appearing ready for any insane fight as there is an abnormally large sword on your back...

6 Dante (Event)

Any Devil May Cry fans? Your time has come. Why play different protagonists in other video games when you can be Dante in them all instead? This is an armor set that transforms you, male or female, into Dante himself!

To get this you have to be of rank 14 or higher and check up on Event Quests, as it's an occasional event that shows up labeled Code: Red. There's nothing more luxurious than slashin' beasts in a fine red coat while your bangs get in the way.

5 Butterfly (Main)

We know what you're thinking, this is hideous! And well, to each their own... This is a very unique armor set with flattering colors and a somewhat confusing shape that may turn some people off.

But nothing is more cute and otherworldly than walking around as a big butterfly (Or rather wearing its skin) while your Palico's matching set is a ladybug! Just some lady-bugs killin' monsters and vibing. This armor set is craftable by acquiring Great Hornfly's.

4 Gala (Event)

Nothing else could scream dramatic extravagance more! This is a special layered armor set that one can get with tickets during the Appreciation Festival that celebrates the video games' launch!

If anyone was feeling inferior, dull, like something was missing in their bloody massacre of a hunting life, we have a solution for you. The Gala suit. It's what was missing all along. Now you can be shiny, inside and out. It's all suits and top hats from here, friend.

3 Lumu (Main)

Similar to the Kirin outfit in its pastel colors and fuzziness, the Lumu armor is nothing short of adorable. This set is crafted by using Paolumu materials, the monster of which can be found in the Coral Highlands.

Not only is this armor set pastel-pink, not only is it fluffy galore, but there's also heart shapes in it! Wait, there might be more... Yes, your Palico can be just as fluffy and pink! Staying warm has never looked so cute.

2 Blackveil Vaal Hazak (Iceborne)

Unique to the Iceborne DLC and of Master Rank, the Vaal Hazak armor is something to shiver at if not also the monster itself. The monster can be found in the Rotten Vale as an elder dragon, but the armor itself was only introduced through Iceborne.

This set takes you to a different, rotten plane as it makes you look like some ancient evil spirit that has risen from the dead because you felt someone disrupt your also-ancient heirloom locked away in a moss-infested decrepit tower. Right? Can't you see the skeleton fingers, reaching out, shaking... We sure can!

1 Namielle (Iceborne)

This beautiful elder dragon is a sight to behold as its icy skin glows all sorts of purples, blues, and oranges as if it's both fire and water. She is, once again, located in the Coral Highlands, as this seems to be an area that contains many fantastic looking beasts. The armor set itself isn't too flashy in terms of odd, large shapes and being of an entirely lighter color.

This may be one of the more universally agreeable aesthetically pleasing armor sets because the majority of it is black and looks badass while it's the small bits that make it pretty. There appear to be scale-like tentacles that come out of the dark armor that glow just like Namielle. Perhaps the fact that the body is black offers even more of a draw of attention for the glowing parts!
