Super Monkey Ball's roster of mismatched characters just keeps growing, and this time it's adding in Monster Rancher's Suezo as another tumbling friend to explore with.

Monster Rancher 1 and 2 are coming to Nintendo Switch, PC, and Mobile this December 12, but that's no longer the only way to drag around your monster friends. Suezo will head to Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania after the game launches, available on October 19 for $4.99 as post-launch DLC.

Instead of bananas, it looks like Suezo stays true to his universe and picks up CDs—you know, those things you used to use to unlock monsters in Monster Rancher that are gone now. Suezo isn't the only character a bit out of his element in the Monkey Ball universe, loveable mascot Hello Kitty is also joining in, while Persona 5's Morgana and Kiryu Kazuma from Yakuza also join the tumble.

Suezo makes his debut just after Koei Tecmo announced it would bring the series back in a new collection for Monster Rancher 1 and 2, which will also add a few quality of life features and music database to replace the old CD-base system.

Super Monkey Ball is coming to Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC on October 5. Banana Mania is a trilogy compilation, combining the first three games for a massive collection that sports over 300 levels, 12 minigames, and tons of new features. It's a mixed and matched series of goodies that makes old favorites new enough that even Monkey Ball pros will have a fun time learning the ropes again.

Sega has already announced the more obvious additions to the cast a while back, too. You'll get to play as Sonic and Tails in Banana Mania—which is perhaps the least surprising update to come from Sega. The aforementioned Kazuma will also bring plenty of his own customization options for the game's monkey star, Ai-Ai, just in case you don't want to actually be Kazuma and just want his tattoo.
