Mortal Kombat 11 might not have been able to land Arnold Schwarzenegger for the role of the Terminator, but the developers did manage to get the best possible voice for Spawn - Keith David has confirmed that he will be voicing the character once more.

NetherRealm Studios recently revealed the upcoming line-up of DLC characters for Mortal Kombat 11, which includes characters such as the Joker from Batman and the Terminator. The last of the announced DLC characters to be released will be Spawn, who is due to be added to the game on March 17, 2020.

There was recently a suggestion that Arnold Schwarzenegger would be reprising the role of the Terminator for Mortal Kombat 11, but this has since been refuted, as only his likeness has been licensed. There is at least one actor who is returning to one of their classic roles in Mortal Kombat 11, as Keith David has confirmed on Facebook and Twitter that he will be voicing Spawn in the game.

Keith David is a prolific live-action actor and voice actor who has appeared in movies like The Thing, They Live, and Requiem For A Dream. His voice-over work has included numerous video games, such as the Dissidia Final Fantasy series, the Halo series, and the Saints Row series.

Keith David has previously voiced Spawn in Todd McFarlane's Spawn, which was an Emmy-award winning animated series that ran from '97 to '99. Mortal Kombat 11 marks the first time that Keith David will be voicing Spawn since Todd McFarlane's Spawn went off the air.

Spawn has starred in several video games over the years, but he made his crossover fighting game debut back in 2003 in the Xbox port of Soul Calibur IIas he was one of the three console exclusive characters in the game, with Heihachi from Tekken appearing in the PlayStation 2 port and Link from The Legend of Zelda series appearing in the Nintendo GameCube port.

Mortal Kombat 11 marks the first time that Spawn will be appearing in the Mortal Kombat series, though he had previously been discussed for inclusion in Mortal Kombat X.
