Mortal Kombat 11 Switch Players Can Claim Thank You Currency Bundle Until May 20

As a way to say "thank you" to the many players playing Mortal Kombat 11, the developer has sent a thank-you gift across nearly every platform on which the game is available. As of now, the Nintendo Switch is also among those who can access the gift in the most recent patch that aims to also bring various balance changes and quality of life improvements.

Players on the Switch will have until the 20th of May to log onto the game and claim the gift bundle, which gives a total of 500,000 Koins, 500 Hearts, 1,000 Time Chyrstals, and 1,000 Souls. The inclusion of premium currency in the bundle is certainly a good-will gesture to the player base, and may be used towards unlocking some premium skins.

In addition, the highly-anticipated changes needed in the Towers of Time are also included in the patch. These were the object of much scrutiny by fans and popular streamers alike, who considered the initial iteration to be heavily focused on grinding endlessly for too little reward. With the new patch, players should notice that the mode is far less of a chore and more enjoyable to engage with, all through adjusting the modifiers in combat, as well as the difficulty curve, granting more more Koins overall.

Many would have considered the patching of the Towers of Time to have been sufficient, since they were changes that needed to occur. However, in choosing to include this bundle of items to the player base, the developers at NetherRealm Studios seem to be extending an olive branch here, and seek to make right what was a wrong on their part. This kind of behavior is fantastic to see in a developer, and is often seen in Fortnite, as Epic has a fantastic track record for identifying when an issue needs to be corrected, and also compensating players for their time. After all, the players are what make the success of a game possible, and it is nice to see developers recognize that.
