Big news for Mortal Kombat 11 fans. The second Kombat Pack will bring three new DLC characters, including fan-favorites Rain and Mileena as well as '80s action star John Rambo. There's going to be a compilation edition of Mortal Kombat 11 called MK11: Ultimate that includes both Kombat Packs 1 & 2 as well as the Aftermath DLC. And finally, there's going to be a next-gen version of Mortal Kombat 11 that will display in beautiful 4K graphics.

Let's touch on Kombat Pack 2 first. After denying her existence and then teasing her arrival for months, the latest trailer finally confirms last week's leak that Mileena is coming to MK11. Also confirmed from that leak is Rain, the watery ninja, as well as Rambo.

Mileena looks pretty much as expected, but Rain is notable for being armed with a Katar that looks almost exactly the same as Voldo's from the Soulcalibur series. Perhaps an homage or easter egg?

As for Rambo, he looks pretty much how he appeared in the original 1982 First Blood film. He's armed with his signature M60 machine gun, but the final image in the trailer also shows Rambo wielding a bow and arrow as well.

Oh, and in case you were wondering: yes, that is actually Sylvester Stallone reprising his role as the voice of Rambo.

All three characters will be paid DLC as part of Kombat Pack 2, which will notably be part of Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate. This compilation edition combines all the previous DLC into a single game, meaning you get all Kombat Pack 1 & 2 characters as well as the Aftermath DLC featuring Fujin, RoboCop, and Sheeva.

The trailer just gives us a release date of November 17, 2020, for MK11: Ultimate. With no other dates listed, we're going to assume that Kombat Pack 2 will release on the same day with all three characters, as opposed to how Kombat Pack 1 trickled out a new character every month or so.

Also confirmed in the trailer is a next-gen version of Mortal Kombat 11 for both the PS5 and Xbox Series X. This version will feature 4K graphics and enhanced visuals, faster load times, and crossplay between platforms and generations. Owners of MK11 that decide to upgrade to a next-gen console will also get an upgrade on their MK11 purchase.
