The next generation of PlayStation Virtual Reality hardware is here. Alongside new and old video games launching with the PSVR 2, PlayStation also announced many games that are set to release on the VR headset this year and beyond.
Many old PSVR games will be recreated for the PSVR 2 because of no backward compatibility, but there are many new and exciting games set to release as well. These are the most anticipated PSVR 2 games we can't wait to play, some of which we can get our hands on now, and others we have to wait longer for.
10 Cosmonious High

From the developers of Job Simulator and Vacation Simulator comes an otherworldly high school simulator. Set in a colourful alien world, this humourous and delightful new game from Owlchemy Labs has you become a student at this unusual school.
Meet other students, interact with vivid environments, and embark on creative tasks. This seems to be a major step up from their previous titles, making this a highly anticipated game.
9 Horizon Call Of The Mountain

Any fan of the Horizon series on PlayStation must check out this PSVR 2 exclusive title. Horizon Call Of The Mountain is an adventure game set in the same world Aloy lives in. This time, you're playing as Ryas, who was a former Shadow Carja atoning for his crimes by investigating a threat to the Sundom.
Although it isn't an open world, Ryas can fight monster machinery with his archery skills, and scale towering mountain peaks. You are also set to meet new and returning characters from the franchise, while bound to explore gorgeous landscapes and environments.
8 The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR

Another game from a beloved series is The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR. This isn't Supermassive Games' first VR game, as they have released Until Dawn: Rush of Blood on the first PSVR. This VR game is also a roller coaster shooter. Like all their games, this is another thrilling and nightmarish horror game.
While sitting on a roller coaster ride, your job is to shoot at the enemies that come your way. With PSVR 2's new blinking mechanics, every time you blink, more enemies will appear, making this a uniquely frightening experience for any horror game enthusiast.
7 The Last Clockwinder

Puzzle lovers who play VR games should be anticipating this next entry. The Last Clockwinder is a sci-fi puzzle game filled with hard-working automatons. You must create clockwork contraptions from your own clones to restore life to an ancient tree.
You can create automatons to copy your tasks, allowing them to plant seeds or throw items through the air. This cozy puzzle game looks extremely relaxing, yet fulfilling for the mind.
6 Demeo

Any fan of tabletop role-playing games will adore this unique video game. Demeo is like any Dungeons & Dragons tabletop game but is an RPG roguelite with online co-op. Up to four of you and your friends can play Demeo, choosing from seven playable characters and five different adventures.
Assemble your party, roll dice, and play cards to defeat enemies and win battles. Cross-play is also available across PC and other VR devices. Game night with your best buds has gone to a new level in Demeo.
5 The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners - Chapter 2

The next chapter of the VR game set in the world of The Walking Dead is highly anticipated to play on the new PSVR 2. Saints & Sinners - Chapter 2: Retribution is a survival horror game where you mustn't let the zombies - or should I say walkers - kill you. And of course, humans are also a fierce enemy.
Set in New Orleans, you continue your adventure from the first chapter of this first-person shooter. Play through missions, fight enemies with multiple weapons, and explore the city in the daytime or at night. If you had chapter 1 on the original PSVR, you can upgrade it to PSVR 2 for free, alongside chapter 2's release.
4 Star Wars: Tales From The Galaxy's Edge

If you love Star Wars, there's a big chance you will be interested in this Star Wars VR game. Tales From The Galaxy's Edge is an action-adventure first-person-shooter inspired by Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge from Disneyland. Begin your journey as a droid repair technician, and end it as a hero.
You will be fighting alongside familiar Star Wars characters, picking up missions at the cantina, and exploring the planet of Batuu. Star Wars: Tales From The Galaxy's Edge is a must-play PSVR 2 game for Star Wars fans.
3 Zenith: The Last City

Not often do you find an MMORPG as a VR game. In Zenith: The Last City, embark on a fantasy sci-fi adventure in a beautiful open world full of people around the world to meet. This game contains an immersive story, guilds to join, and many adventures to embark upon.
Engage in boss fights, collect adorable creatures, and customize your class to create a diverse play style. This definitely looks like a vivid world you could get lost in for hours on end.
2 Firewall Ultra

By the same creators as Firewall: Zero Hour comes another VR first-person shooter. In a multiplayer squad, engage in PVP and PVE combat in a multitude of missions. As elite contractors, you must complete these tactical missions by communicating with your squad and strategizing your way to victory.
First Contact Entertainment's first game was released in 2018, making this sequel long-awaited and anticipated. With plenty of maps and dozens of unique fighting situations, there's little chance that you'll get bored with this title. Firewall Ultra is exclusive to the PSVR 2 and does not yet have a release date.
1 No Man's Sky

If you're already an owner of the highly beloved No Man's Sky, an upgrade for the PSVR 2 version will be free of charge. An infinite galaxy full of vibrant and unknown worlds is at your disposal in this open-world survival game. Either in single-player or multiplayer mode, this procedurally-generated galaxy will never make you tired of playing.
While it had a rocky start at its launch, No Man's Sky has continuously updated and integrated features that have brought along many new and old fans.
