With the upcoming release of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, we now have well over 1,000 different Pokemon to go out and catch. While pretty much all of the officially announced Gen 9 Pokemon have been bangers so far, there have been more than a few stinkers across the series to make up for it. I'm pretty sure most of you out there reading these words have a Pokemon you hate with all your guts, and wish that Game Freak had never put pencil to paper when designing them.

Pokemon fans on Reddit do anyway, as they've been sharing the Pokemon that they irrationally hate the most, whether that be their design, how much they annoy them, or just simply their smug little faces. I'm looking at you Snivy. Redditor Xoffles kicks things off with their admittedly very controversial pick of Togepi, which they describe as "pure evil and disappointment." They also pick Jynx as a close runner-up which is much more understandable.

With over 2,400 comments, other answers came flying in. One pair of Pokemon that was mentioned quite a lot was Sawk and Throh, or "Karate Bert and Judo Ernie" as EmperorToastyy put it. Most people tend to hate them because of their fairly simplistic designs, although HarleyQ hates them because they don't understand why they have to wear clothes and how they hatch out of eggs fully kitted out. Maybe we don't want to know.

Another trio of Pokemon that was quite a popular choice amongst fans was the elemental monkeys - Simipour, Simisage, and Simisear. KTL175 doesn't like how rubbish they are in battle and how they're forced upon you before the first gym in Pokemon Black & White, while swords_to_exile think they look like typical "We have starters at home" Pokemon.

Other picks that cropped up a few times during the thread were Bruxish, Eiscue, Mr. Mime, all of the fossil Pokemon from Sword & Shield, and Gumshoos. Surprisingly, nobody mentioned Watchog, the Pokemon that was recently discovered to be the least popular Pokemon in the entire series according to Google Trends. You may not be popular Watchog, but at least you're not despised.
