Mozambique here! And here! And here!

The Mozambique, a shotgun with a 3-bullet magazine widely regarded as the worst gun in Apex Legends, has suddenly become a widely available top-tier weapon... for now, anyway.

In what is likely an elaborate April Fool's joke, some of the game's shotguns have been replaced with gold Mozambiques. One of these Mozambiques contains nine bullets, meaning players can use the infamous weapon to do serious damage to any opponents that get in the way.

It's almost unbelievable that such a lousy weapon could suddenly morph into one of the game's best options. However, TermK47, the player who holds the record for the highest number of overall kills in all of Apex Legends, gave fans of the game a proper demo on how to use the reworked gun in combat.

While it's unlikely this is a permanent feature of the game, players have been begging Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment team to buff the Mozambique since the game's beginning. When the game first came out, the Mozambique quickly became the subject of numerous gaming memes.

The gun is notoriously difficult to handle. And, with only three bullets per clip and max body shot damage of 45 per shot, a person has to line up all three shots at close range for a decent chance of using it to defeat an enemy.

In the game's current season, players can seek out a hop-up attachment for the gun called Hammerpoint Rounds. The attachment allows the gun to do additional damage against unshielded opponents. However, most players opt out of using the gun entirely.
