"I've departed 2K in January this year," Pannell told GamesIndustry.biz. "I'd like to thank everyone at 2K and Take-Two for the support and commitment to make my time at the company so rewarding. I was proud to have been able to lead the 2K European Publishing team for the last 5 years and look forward to my next step in this exciting industry."

When he joined 2K, Pannell took over the role of 2K International General Manager Neil Ralley, who had led the 2K team since it was founded as a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive in New York City in 2005. Ralley, who had previously worked as a sales director for Codemasters, oversaw the launch of BioShock and Borderlands. As of now, it is unclear where Pannell is headed to next.

2K Games, which moved its headquarters to Novato, California in 2007, has also published Carnival Games, Mafia, NBA 2K, Sid Meier's Civilization, WWE 2K and XCOM.
