My Hero One's Justice 2 California Smashes Its Way West In March 2020

A brand new game based on the beloved My Hero Academia series is coming to the West in March 2020.

Get ready to go beyond! Beloved manga and anime My Hero Academia is getting a brand new video game coming to the West next year. My Hero One's Justice 2 will be released on March 13, 2020, for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, according to an announcement from Bandai Namco Entertainment. Plus Ultra!

My Hero One's Justice 2 was announced earlier in September as a sequel game to the 2018 title My Hero: One's Justice. The initial announcement came with a planned release date of March 12, 2020, in Japan, but no word on if and when the game would come West. Luckily, the planned release dates mean that Western fans will get to experience Izuku Midoriya and his friends' adventures nearly simultaneously with Japanese gamers.

Bandai Namco also included details about the new title's gameplay in its announcement, revealing that players can utilize a new "Side Kick Plus Ultra!" mechanic. This will allow sidekick characters the ability to use Plus Ultra attacks when in battle.

The announcement also featured new images of character Mirai Sasaki, also known by his hero name, Sir Nighteye. He is defined by his "Foresight" Quirk, which allows him to see a person's future with 100% accuracy. While Sir Nighteye was once All Might's sidekick, he now runs the Nighteye Agency. The new images demonstrate Sir Nighteye and his Quirk in action, and showcase him alongside other familiar faces like Izuku Midoriya and Mirio Togata.

Anime and manga fans will also be pleased to hear about all the characters who will be featured as playable characters in the final game. Bandai Namco has confirmed the appearances of the following characters: Izuku Midoriya, Kai Chisaki (Overhaul), All Might, Mirio Togata, Tomura Shigaraki, Mina Ashido, Minoru Mineta, Nejire Hado, Tamaki Amajiki, Katsuki Bakugō, Shōto Todoroki, Ochaco Uraraka, Tsuyu Asui, Eijirō Kirishima, Inasa Yoarashi, Enji Todoroki (Endeavor), Dabi, Tenya Iida, Denki Kaminari, Fumikage Tokoyami, Kyōka Jirō, Momo Yaoyorozu, Himiko Toga, and Sir Nighteye.

My Hero One's Justice 2 will be released in Japan on March 12, 2020, and in the West on March 13, 2020. The game will be available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
