In NBA 2K20's MyTeam mode players often seek the highest overall cards featuring the classic legends of the game, or at the very least the current reigning superstars.

The young rookies beginning to gain an understanding of the NBA are mostly an afterthought in the dream team mode, but that doesn't mean a number of them aren't solid in their own right. Some of them can transform a team into an unstoppable force. Let's take a look at and rank the 10 best NBA rookie cards in NBA 2K20's MyTeam Mode.

10 R.J. Barrett (86)

Despite being a revered basketball sanctum, R.J. Barrett has been forgotten about as he's played his rookie season for the New York Knicks. Barrett is very versatile and in many ways has the potential and skill set of a young LeBron James.

His ability to make his teammates better and score from anywhere makes him dangerous. He does need to work on his rebound and post moves to become elite, though. Hopefully, the Knicks can build a solid team around their young blossoming superstar, but fans shouldn't hold their breath given the organization's recent history.

9 Coby White (88)

The first thing people notice about Coby White is his impressive head of hair which often distracts people from the 6' 5" point guards skill at the point position. He's not as high-flying athletic as Derrick Rose, but this new rookie point guard has given the Windy City of Chicago a new sense of basketball energy.

The 88 overall North Carolina product comes with solid ball-handling and passing skills and happens to be a pure athlete as well. He's not built to drive like Rose once did, but give him an open shot from outside and he'll likely convert.

8 Darius Garland (88)

After playing at Vanderbilt for a year, well part of a year considering Darius Garland was injured early on in his only collegiate season, he was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the 5th overall pick.

Many conversations were leading up to the draft about whether he or Ja Morant should be the first point/shooting guard taken. This 88 overall guard showcases the best of what Garland has to over as his speed with the ball is quite impressive when added to his actual speed and acceleration as an athlete.

7 Michael Porter Jr. (88)

Michael Porter Jr. was technically taken in the 2018 draft, but a year of rehabbing from injury had Porter Jr. making his NBA debut during the 2019 NBA season. This means that despite the Missouri product being a professional NBA player for 2 years, he's technically experiencing what it's like to be a rookie.

He has tremendous size at the small forward position measuring at a staggering 6' 10" and boasts an impressive jump shot that's drawn him comparisons to both Kevin Durant, and Atlanta Hawks legend Joe Johnson and his 88 overall card reflects that.

6 De'Andre Hunter (88)

De'Andre Hunter is the athletic small forward the Atlanta Hawks decided to pair with their emerging superstar point guard Trae Young. They took Hunter with the 4th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft in hopes of finding Young a competent #2 playmaker that can turn the franchise into a perennial playoff contender.

Hunter's 88 overall MyTeam card has the 6' 7" forward displaying great defensive prowess and shooting attributes that make him a solid secondary scorer on your team. He's not much of an inside scorer, so playing him at the power forward position might be a mistake.

5 Ja Morant (88)

Ja Morant is the most recent case of a generation basketball talent coming out of nowhere and leading a smaller school to some significant success. He's a very athletic guard who can put on a show almost every night with his impressive ball-handling and athletic prowess.

His 88 overall card is a Moments of the Week release from the 4th week of the NBA season where he impressed. Like expected the athletic and playmaking attributes on the card are above average and will have users putting opponents on posters.

4 Tacko Fall (89)

Sometimes in the NBA, there are players whose skill never really reaches superstar status but fans fall in love with them despite that. Tacko Fall is the beloved rookie center for the Boston Celtics that may be on his way to the All-Star game simply because Boston loves him.

Standing at 7' 6" he's currently the tallest player in the NBA and one of the tallest humans on Earth. His 89 overall card in MyTeam is a rebounding machine that has a reliable post hook move and can shot contest and block anything coming into the paint.

3 Zion Williamson (89)

Zion Williamson, the human highlight real out of Duke, has yet to make his NBA debut but has managed to obtain two of the three highest overall rookie cards in NBA 2K20's MyTeam mode. The 89 overall version of himself is a solid card for players looking to get a hold of an athletic player who can be a difference-maker in transition.

His shooting and defensive attributes aren't very good, but one look at all of his athletic and driving traits will help you understand where he fits in best. Thankfully it's also a swing card that lets you play him at either forward position.

2 Rui Hachimura (89)

In just his rookie season Rui Hachimura has become the most prominent Japanese player in the NBA. He's a smaller sized power forward who used his length and athleticism to propel him to the 9th overall pick in the NBA Draft after finishing his career at Gonzaga.

Don't look for this 89 overall version of Hachimura to do much from a playmaking perspective as most of the attributes in that category are average at best. He's a consistent and reliable shooter from anywhere inside the 3-point line and has elite level stamina and hustle.

1 Zion Williamson (95)

We've already covered the 89 overall version of the 2019 NBA Draft #1 pick and it's now time to take a look at the 95 overall version. Despite not yet stepping foot on an NBA court in his rookie season Zion Williamson has remained a topic of conversation due to his athletic prowess.

This high-overall card is meant to be a reflection of what analysts and fans hope Williamson can blossom into once he's able to overcome his injury and size concerns. This card comes with an insane vertical rating of 99.
