The NBA, out of most major professional sports, gives their teams the most amount of opportunities to sport new and interesting jerseys. In recent years the association decided to give each team a new "city" version of their jersey which came with a unique design for each franchise.

On top of these new looks players also get to sport the retro jerseys which is a look that has come back into fashion in a major way. Let's look at and rank the 10 best jerseys in the entire NBA from Sacramento to Orlando.

10 Toronto Raptors Earned Edition

Upon making the playoffs in 2018 the Toronto Raptors were surprised with their variation of their team's City jerseys, now called the Earned Edition. Each playoff team received this additional design from Nike, but it's hard to find one better in the bunch than the Raptors.

The jersey design strips down the design to basic parts and replaces the Toronto Raptors lettering with the word north angled like a mountain at the top of the chest. The contrast of the Toronto red and white makes it come together in a major way.

9 Portland Trailblazers City

The Portland Trailblazers' City jerseys sport a clean and simple design that makes a callback to the team's first years in the early 70s. The nickname Rip City that takes up the front of the City jerseys was coined by an announcer named Bill Schonely during a game in 1971.

To catch up to the Los Angeles Lakers the Trailblazers devised a strategy of shooting tons of deep range shots, this, in turn, led to Schonely exclaiming "RIP CITY!", as the team was letting it rip from long range despite the 3-point shot not being adopted by the NBA until 1979.

8 Boston Celtics

Many people outside the Boston Celtics fandom tend to see the team's uniforms as old or outdated. Well, a quick perspective change can make it seem as though those jerseys represent history, legacy, and a commitment to excellence.

They're not the flashiest or more aesthetically pleasing jerseys in the league, but they represent so much of the NBA's rich history. It's hard not to look at those jerseys and not see Larry Bird or Bill Russell dominated the league in the classic white and green Celtics jersey.

7 Los Angeles Lakers

Though the Boston Celtics have just as much history as the Los Angeles Lakers, it's hard to make an argument that they've ever had the same star power in terms of global popularity.

Over the modern years, the Lakers have had Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, and LeBron James who all transcend the game of basketball. They're all pop culture icons and have only added to the brand of the team. The classic mix of purple and gold still screams royalty despite their major lack of success in recent years.

6 Denver Nuggets City

At first glance, the Denver Nuggets City jerseys may look like a colorful new design for the team, but it's much more than that. Fans of the team have waited for over 25 years fort he team to embrace its history and bring back the classic rainbow skyline jerseys.

The design draws on a time where the Denver Nuggets played at a pace that leveraged the mile-high city and the jerseys were a part of arguably the franchise's best stretch in terms of consistent success and performance.

5 Golden State Warriors The Town

The Golden State Warriors have sported numerous jerseys over the years drawing inspiration from the city and diverse cultures that surround the team. Their "The Town" jerseys pay homage to the roots of the team's time in Oakland as it is set to take the stage across the bay in the years to come.

On the front of the jersey, it features a large and prominent oak tree designed with lines and negative space. Oakland was historically referred to as "The Town" and most recently the term was popularized by various hip-hop artists.

4 Chicago Bulls

It's hard to find a jersey more iconic to a generation of basketball fans than the classic 90s red Chicago Bulls jersey. Michael Jordan and company made the simple combination of red, black, and white a coveted product.

To this day it's hard to walk down a major metropolitan street without seeing someone in either a Michael Jordan jersey, or a vintage Chicago Bulls sweater or t-shirt. Before the 90s the Bulls were an afterthought and since then they've had one of the most iconic and reminiscent jerseys in the league.

3 Utah Jazz City

Over the years the Utah Jazz has built a reputation as a team-focused organization who often sports a team that's hard-working and tough. Very rarely are they considered a team known for their fashion sense or swag.

Well, the Utah Jazz City jerseys burst on the scene and surprised fans and critics alike. The jerseys sport a gradient pattern from top to bottom going from a deep rich maroon to a vibrant yellow. The white font for the lettering and numbers pops off of the jersey in a great way.

2 Brooklyn Nets City

This jersey landing this high on the list will likely be the most contentious part of this list. The Brooklyn Nets City jerseys are very similar to their normal ones except for a small detail change.

The jersey features a camo trimming that's inspired by Brooklyn's legendary rapper The Notorious B.I.G. aka Biggie Smalls. Paying homage to a legend of your team's location is great and they did it subtly, but still showcases the inspirational feel they were going for in the first place.

1 Miami Heat City

The Miami Heat City jerseys took the franchise back to the 80s in a major pop-culture way. The design features a font largely inspired by the feel of Miami in the 80s and comes with a vibrant color scheme.

The jerseys are primarily black and use both a light blue and bold pink to make the city name and numbers pop. The jerseys also made their way onto the cover of NBA 2K20 as Dwyane Wade was featured on the front of the Legend Edition of the game in his own Miami Heat City jersey.
