Amethyst cards are the entry to greatness in the mode, but what are the 10 best shiny pink MyTeam cards so far in the NBA 2K21 version of MyTeam? It's time to take a look and figure that out.

10 Sleepy Floyd '95 (91)

Sleepy Floyd

The NBA has captivated fans for years, thanks in large part to surprise performances in the playoffs by role players and lesser-known guys. Sleepy Floyd may have a recognizable name, but in terms of a career, it was pretty average for the most part. Despite only averaging 12 points a game for his career, Floyd to this day still holds the record for most points scored in a quarter (29) and most points in a half (49), which he did in the 1987 Western Conference Semifinals against a great Los Angeles Lakers team.

9 Allan Houston '05 (91)

Allan Houston

Allan Houston was one of the many NBA players since the 1970s who were marked as the men to lead the New York Knicks back to the promised land. Like many of the other players who chose to embrace New York, Houston never really lived up to his potential and now serves as the general manager to the Knicks' G-League team called the Westchester Knicks. If you need a pure scorer this card is more than generous to Houston in that department, despite the Tennessee product averaging around 17 points per game for his career.

8 Corey Maggette '13 (91)

Corey Maggette

Corey Maggette is the perfect example of an NBA player who made his mark as a role player despite never receiving any honors or awards. The high-flying athletic nightmare spent the bulk of his career in Los Angeles playing for the other NBA team. His amethyst card shines when it comes to athleticism and scoring, but don't look for it to rebound or play defense. This card is perfect to come off of the bench and contribute energy to the second unit while the superstars rest up on the bench during the game.

7 Dennis Johnson '86 (91)

Dennis Johnson

Most people will remember Dennis Johnson as the defensive maestro who became a Boston Celtics legend. He touched greatness before his years in Boston as he helped the Seattle Supersonics achieve their sole NBA championship in 1979.

His amethyst card may lack when it comes to scoring, but you secure a Dennis Johnson card to shut down your opponent. Just make sure you pair him with a guard who can score and create their shot as Johnson will be too busy enforcing his will on the guard across from him.

6 Willis Reed '74 (91)

Willis Reed

Outside of the Cleveland Browns, it's hard to deny that being a New York Knicks fan hasn't been fun or rewarding for quite some time. Younger generations assume the Knicks have always been bad, as they fail to understand that they achieved greatness in the early '70s. Thanks to Willis Reed, they won two championships and he took home an MVP trophy. The center earned every bit of his 91 overall amethyst card that will hopefully teach kids playing NBA 2K21 about the vintage Knicks who were good.

5 Bailey Howell (91)

Bailey Howell

The Boston Celtics are an organization filled to the brim with excellence and oftentimes great players get lost in the mix. Bailey Howell isn't as well known as Bill Russell or Larry Bird, but in his own right, the 6x NBA All-Star was a Boston Celtics great has helped contribute to back-to-back championships in 1968 and 1969. For his career Howell finished averaging 18.7 points and 9.9 rebounds a game, meaning it was essentially a double-double. His 91 overall card may not fit in today's NBA, but it is still a rock-solid power forward card.

4 Jamal Mashburn '04 (91)

Jamal Mashburn

Jamal Mashburn was never as good as his potential showcased, but he also wasn't as bad as his haters try to paint him as. He was a solid starting NBA shooting forward and for his career managed to average a little over 19 points per game, which is no small-time feat.

Mashburn's 91 overall amethyst card showcases his scoring ability and represents his play during the 2004 NBA season when he was a member of the Charlotte Hornets. History may forget about him, but that doesn't mean you should too.

3 Mitch Richmond '02 (91)

Mitch Richmond

The Golden State Warriors will forever be tied to the Splash Bros., Klay Thompson and Steph Curry. Long before their time, the Warriors had another guard who was tough to deal with and his name was Mitch Richmond. The Kansas State product may have only played 3 seasons in the gold and blue, but in that time he won NBA Rookie of the Year and made the All-Rookie first team. His best years came with the Sacramento Kings, but this 91 overall amethyst card pays homage to his early days in San Francisco.

2 Boris Diaw '05 (91)

Boris Diaw

Boris Diaw was never the most athletic or physically impressive guy on the court, but the Frenchman was a key role player who contributed to multiple championship teams. He was a true professional and this year was given a 91 overall amethyst card as part of the flash theme set in NBA 2K21's MyTeam mode. Diaw is a solid scorer who can contribute key points off the bench and is a better rebounder than most people remember. Those looking to build a solid San Antonio Spurs lineup should look out for this card.

1 Michael Jordan '95 (91)

Michael jordan

Michael Jordan, considered by many to be the greatest basketball player of all-time, comes in with the best amethyst card in NBA 2K21's MyTeam mode. The card is part of the clutch theme set and lets you place the Chicago Bulls legend at either the shooting guard or small forward spots. Overall the card is well-rounded and can be used in a myriad of ways, with its one glaring downside being its effectiveness in the rebound department. It's a Michael Jordan card, though, so chances are you'll want it anyway.
