As summer cools down into fall, it’s time to lace up your sneakers and put up some shots in NBA 2K23. The latest iteration of the basketball simulator has finally arrived with up-to-date player ratings, high-level graphics, and a variety of game modes, including the Jordan Challenges.

The Jordan Challenges takes you on a trip down memory lane, reliving all the greatest moments during Michael Jordan’s career. Starting in 1982, there were countless moments from Jordan’s time at the University of North Carolina to his hoisting the Larry O’Brien with the Chicago Bulls that defined him as a player. We’ll take a look at the significant moments that enshrined His Airness in greatness and how to be successful in NBA 2K23’s Jordan Challenges.

Jordan Challenges In NBA 2K23

Each pivotal game will have three conditions to complete to earn a max of three stars per game, for a total of 45 stars in the Jordan Challenges. The conditions for each game include recording a certain number of points, assists, rebounds, holding players to low scoring, and of course, winning the game.

You’ll earn exclusive in-game rewards that can be redeemed in MyCareer and MyTeam. These rewards include jerseys, calf sleeves, a Jumpman necklace, a Michael Jordan coach card, and a Michael Jordan free agency card.

A Star Is Born

  • March 29, 1982
  • NCAA Championship Game: North Carolina vs. Georgetown
  • Michael Jordan's championship-winning ways start as a 19-year-old freshman at North Carolina, when he hits the most important shot in the 1982 NCAA Championship Game.

The Shot

  • May 7, 1989
  • Chicago Bulls at Cleveland Cavaliers, Eastern Conference Playoffs
  • "The Shot," which knocked the Cleveland Cavaliers out of the '89 Eastern Conference Playoffs, is one of the most iconic moments of Michael Jordan's career.

Shootout

  • 1989
  • Atlanta Hawks at Chicago Bulls, Regular Season
  • Two of the NBA's most spectacular dunkers and elite scorers in Michael Jordan and Dominique Wilkins go at each other, bringing the crowd to their feet with their awe-inspiring theatrics.

  • Score 40 points and hold Dominique Wilkins to under 20 points

69 Points

  • March 28, 1990
  • Chicago Bulls at Cleveland Cavaliers, Regular Season
  • Michael Jordan, with a bit of extra motivation, drops a career-high 69 points in a 117-113 regular season win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Bad Boys

  • May 26, 1990
  • Detroit Pistons at Chicago Bulls, Eastern Conference Finals
  • Fighting through a gameplan dubbed the "Jordan Rules" by the very-physical Detroit Pistons, Jordan scores 47 and leads the Bulls to a victory in the 1990 Eastern Conference Finals.

Start of a Dynasty

  • June 12, 1991

The Flu Game

  • June 11, 1997
  • Chicago Bulls at Utah Jazz, NBA Finals
  • Adding to his legend as a relentless competitor, Michael Jordan fights through flu-like symptoms to will his team to victory over the Utah Jazz in a critical fifth game of the 1997 NBA Finals.

Pass the Torch

  • December 17, 1997
  • Los Angeles Lakers at Chicago Bulls, Regular Season
  • In their first true duel, the proven Michael Jordan and the up-and-coming Kobe Bryant go toe-to-toe, with Jordan coming out on top, keeping the future superstar at arm's length.

The Last Dance

  • June 14, 1998
