The production of Netflix's version of The Witcher suffered another setback as at least four people on set have tested positive for COVID-19. This marks the second time season two of the show has been impacted by the pandemic. Fortunately, the production team has isolated those affected and are testing all cast and crew.

The story comes from Deadline, who reports that the cases were discovered today and that safety actions are already being taken. Reports also say that none of the main cast are included in the positive tests.

The news comes just after the UK announced its second lockdown due to a rise in COVID cases. Witcher production had already made arrangements to move inside a studio in the South of England. It had been outside in Yorkshire. Fans learned of the move from Geralt actor Henry Cavill's Instagram.

The heavy demands of The Witcher season two's production had already ensured that release would be a long way off, with some saying late 2021. Netflix plans to resume filming in the studio once everything is deemed clean and safe. But this pause is sure to set things back more. Everyone's health is top priority, so it's the right move, and hopefully fans will be understanding if the show is moved back once again.
