Feedback is one of the most valuable things that any game company could ask for before launch, and Marvelous First Studio has showcased how it was used to improve upon its latest title Daemon X Machina in a recent trailer.

Marvelous Inc. is a Japanese video game publisher and developer, as well as, an anime producer that is perhaps best known for its involvement with the Rune Factory series of games. Throughout its history, it has published JRPGs and action adventure games that have received worldwide praise and it turns out that this is due in large part to the team’s willingness to listen to user feedback. While its latest mech combat title, Daemon X Machina, has garnered a lot of interest, it also received a lot of criticism, to which the company responded to by promptly releasing a trailer detailing all the changes they have made.

With this move, Marvelous Inc. is not only letting their fans know that the care, but they are also showing that they take the feedback very seriously. It's never an easy thing to admit when you have made a poor design choice, especially when you've put in countless hours, but it's clear the company wants to set an example for the rest of the industry when it comes to consumer interaction.

The news of the changes come to us courtesy of a Daemon X Machina trailer posted on Nintendo's official Youtube channel. In it, the developer details various changes that it made in response to user feedback including equipment that allows you to lock onto enemy targets for better tracking and the ability to steal equipment while in hover mode. Further improvements showcased within the trailer include indicators which detail where your enemy is coming from and sound enhancements which are designed to make your attacks feel more powerful. The developer goes on to list a whole host of other improvements indicating that it is taking the development process very seriously.

While some of the improvements may seem rather minor, it's a good sign of things to come for the game itself. This news not only shows Marvelous First Studio's commitment to their product, but it also shows that they feel that their consumer's feedback is more important than the pride of their own game designers.

In an era where we are inundated with games that feel rushed and incomplete, it's nice to know that some companies appreciate the amount of money spent on their games and want to show it improving upon them long before their release date. If other game companies are to learn anything from this it is that regardless of cost, consumers are far more willing to drop dollars on a product that they know was created with care and dedication.
