New Fortnite Buildings Could Tease Stranger Things and John Wick Crossovers

Fortnite crossovers are some of the most enjoyable events in the game, and we may be seeing two in the near future from the world of Stranger Things and John Wick. In true Fortnite fashion, the destruction of Tilted Towers and Retail Row meant that players would be experiencing some form of revamp to those areas.

What used to be Tilted Towers is now known as Neo Tilted, and it is looking fantastic. Retail Row is now Mega Mall, and the first clue towards a possible crossover event can be found there. Fans of the show Stranger Things were quick to point out the inclusion of new shop named "Scoops Ahoy", shown in the image below on the right, which is featured in the Season 3 trailer for the show, shown below on the left.

With regards to John Wick, we have seen two major clues that something is coming. The first was subtle in the form of a likeness of John Wick's house having been added to the game. A far more heavy-handed indication that an event was coming can be seen in the datamined challenges for this upcoming season. Two of the listed challenges for that week are "Win a match of Wick’s Bounty" and "Play matches of Wick’s Bounty."

If we were to see a crossover event or two, it would make the most sense to first see one tying into the release of John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum, which releases May 17th, only a week after the launch of Season 9 in Fortnite. As we now know exactly what is being offered in the new Battle Pass for this season, and none of it is related to John Wick, it is unlikely that the event would award anything in terms of skins or other cosmetic items.

Perhaps instead both the Reaper Skin and glider, both fashioned after the likeness of the character and his car, will make a return to the game. As the level 100 award during Season 3, the skin is now unattainable, but it could be sold in the item shop. Or, more likely some variation of the character, similar to how the Black Knight from the Season 2 Battle Pass was no longer attainable after the end of the season, but the similarly-styled Red Knight was eventually offered for 2,000 V-Bucks. That would not be a stretch, and would be a coveted item that gets players to open their wallets. If not that, then perhaps a likeness of Sofia, played by Halle Berry, or another character of the upcoming film.

In terms of a Stranger Things tie in, it would again make the most sense to release content that coincides with the release of the show's new season, which is only eight weeks away. Given that paranormal monsters are a normal part of that universe, they would fit right in with the husks from Fortnite. If Epic were looking for ideas on a skin for that event, consider Jonesy in a pink dress with a box of Eggo Waffles for back bling and Steve's baseball bat with nails as a new pick axe, with a spray that says "Mouth Breather."

In any case, it does seem likely that both worlds will be crossing over into Fortnite in the coming weeks and months. Best of luck to everyone in Season 9!
