Just like the Xbox One S, we knew that the Xbox Series S would be significantly smaller than the Series X, but we didn’t know how significantly until just now thanks to these new photos.

From the Twitter account of Nate Najda, host of The Joy Of Gaming on The Escapist, comes these real-life photos of the Series S compared to the Series X and the Xbox One. As you can see, the Series S is the smolest of the smol, with even the relatively trim Xbox One managing to make itself look bloated in comparison.

If we had to guess, we’d say that the Series S is roughly half the size of a One X and roughly a third of the size of a Series X. The Xbox Series X is set to become the battleship of the next-gen console war based on previously released specs.

But as we learned yesterday, you’re sacrificing performance for a compact form factor. In terms of raw computational power, the Xbox Series X is roughly three times as fast as the Series S, with the Series X targeting a native graphics output of 4K at 60 fps. The Series S meanwhile has to content itself with a mere 1440p resolution at 60 fps.

On the other hand, the Series S is also significantly cheaper than the Series X at just $299. If you don’t have a 4K TV but still want ray-tracing and next-gen games, then the Series S might just be the better option.
