A Brand New Pokémon Movie Is Coming To Theaters For 4 Days Only

A new Pokémon movie is coming to theaters next month, but you'll have to act quickly if you want to catch it because it'll only be showing for four days.

We sometimes have to stop and pinch ourselves when we think about, witness, and experience how well the Pokémon franchise is doing right now. It's 2018 and you could argue that Pokémon as a whole is in as good a place now as it has been for the past two decades.

Pokémon Go is enjoying a resurgence, fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Pokémon Let's Go on Nintendo Switch, the only way is up for Pikachu and his hundreds of friends. One area of the franchise you might think has fallen by the wayside is the movie part. If you do believe that, you're wrong. There are 20 Pokémon movies in total, and we are about to be hit with a 21st.

The next movie in the ever-expanding series is called Pokémon The Movie: The Power Of Us. Even though Ash Ketchum and his trusty Pikachu are still the main protagonists, the universe in which the new movie is set is separate from the long-running TV show we know and love. However, it does follow on from the last feature, Pokemon The Movie: I Choose You.

Although The Power Of Us was released in Japan back in July of this year, it hasn't been made available anywhere else. That's all about to change. The movie will be released worldwide next month, but you'll have to be quick if you want to see it. The Power Of Us will only be showing in theaters for four days, November 24th, 26th, 28th, and the final showings will be on December 1st.

If you want to know whether The Power Of Us will be showing in a theater near you, you can check by entering your zip code at Fathom Events' website (here). Personally, we wouldn't mind traveling a fair distance to see this one, especially if it's our only opportunity to watch it. The trailer above hit us right in the nostalgia. What better way to spend an afternoon or evening than watching Ash and Pikachu rally together a group of Pokémon and help save an entire town?
