Last year was a pretty big one for Pokemon games, with both Pokemon: Legends Arecus and Pokemon Scarlet & Violet releasing to incredible commercial success. Despite that, 2022 was also the first year since 1997 that we didn't see the release of a Pokemon spin-off game. It's unlikely that Nintendo will go two years on the bounce with no spin-offs, and fans think that Spike Chunsoft is gearing up to reveal a new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game in the coming weeks.

First shared to the GamingLeaksAndRumors subreddit by Clemdoggy, the recently launched Pokemon Together page that has been set up to celebrate Pokemon Day on February 27 includes a Spike Chunsoft copyright in the data. For those unaware, Spike Chunsoft is the developer behind pretty much every Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game, including the most recent Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team remake that launched back in 2020.

Right now, the Pokemon Together page is simply a Pokeball floating in the middle of some lovely pictures of the community with a few links to the most recent games, but that will change once Pokemon Day rolls around. Those who've spotted the copyright are speculating that Nintendo could use this opportuinity to announced a new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game, but we won't know for sure until the day actually gets here.

As for what the game could be if Nintendo is planning to announce one, many have their fingers crossed for a remake of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky which is a fan-favorite. It's more likely that Spike Chunsoft is working on an entirely new game, especially when you consider the sheer amount of Pokemon that have been created since the last new game in the series in 2015. Then again, Nintendo does love a Pokemon remake nowadays and I'm sure a remake of a fan-favorite would have the pre-orders flooding in.

With a little under two weeks before Pokemon Day begins, at least we won't have to wait too long to find out if this copyright amounts to something.
