Livening Up The Flowers is a request you get pretty early on in New Pokemon Snap. Contrary to most requests, it doesn't involve very much on your part aside from waiting for the right moment. If you're patient, Florges should just start doing its thing, although it might take a couple of runs given that it's largely RNG-based.

If you're struggling to complete this request, don't worry. We've put together a detailed New Pokemon Snap Livening Up The Flowers request guide to help you tick yet another request off the list and come one step closer to achieving every single task Professor Mirror, Todd, Phil, and Rita set you.

New Pokemon Snap: How To Complete Livening Up The Flowers

I've seen a lot of people online saying that you need to throw an Illumina orb at Florges in order to complete Livening Up The Flowers. In my experience, this is incorrect. Tossing an Illumina orb at Florges will cause it to channel energy and whip up a gust of wind around itself - if you manage to snap this, you'll be awarded a four-star shot, so it's well worth doing.

I have done this at least five times and it didn't mark Livening Up The Flowers as complete for me. Instead, the best way to complete this request is to just watch and wait for the right moment. No Illumina orbs, no fluffruit, no music - just patience. Here are all the steps you need to follow to complete Livening Up The Flowers in New Pokemon Snap.

  • Load into Florio Nature Park Day. Theoretically speaking, you can do this at any rank.
  • Go through the entire course until you reach the meadows at the end. Immediately aim your camera at Florges and watch it attentively. Don't use orbs are fruit, just watch Florges and wait for the right moment.
  • When Florges starts channeling a green flow of energy around itself, take the shot. This is a three-star shot as opposed to the four-star one you get from using an Illumina orb, but it's also the pose that caused the request to be marked as complete for me. Some people are reporting completing it with the four-star shot, but again, that didn't work for me. Just wait for Florges to naturally summon the green energy and take the shot.

And that's it! Ultimately, this is a relatively easy request compared to some more arcane ones like Meganium's Pal and Where It Snacks And Snoozes, but it's still a request all the same. If the four-star shot works for you, please let us know as it didn't pop for us after five or six attempts. The only way we managed to complete Livening Up The Flowers in the end was by waiting for Florges' green glow, which is frustratingly tied to RNG. Still, we did it eventually and now you can too - good luck!
