If you've been playing Amazon's New World you probably noticed that it's broken in a number of ways. Just how many problems has the game had? Each word in this sentence is linked to a separate issue. And this doesn't include the initial server trouble at launch. However, most of these issues have been fixed, and the developers have addressed them in a very lengthy blog post in the New World forum.

In a bid to be "more transparent and communicate more frequently" the devs have written about a number of the critical issues that have been plaguing players. It started off with perhaps the biggest and most crucial one that needed fixing, the lack of server space and server transfer features.

"By the time you are reading this, character transfers will have been re-enabled and most players should be able to move their characters," said the blog. This will come as good news to players who were at the time advised by the devs to join any server they could find. The lack of server space at launch caused massive queues just to get into the game.

Upon the devs' instructions, players joined any open servers they could find as they were promised a server transfer feature which came much later than initially expected. This meant that they couldn't play on the same servers as their mates, which kind of defeats the purpose.

Much like the real world, the New World economy is down in the dumps. It's so broken that players stopped using money completely, causing deflation and rampant gambling on a number of servers. The blog suggests that these issues are on the way to being fixed. "From a data standpoint, the economy is performing within acceptable levels. All servers are creating more money than is being removed, and by a good margin. However, the economy is tighter at the end-game currently." They've mentioned a number of ways in which they will do so.

The long blog post also goes on to talk about New World's Outpost Rush character state issues, explain the game's client and server authority simulation, moderation, war, and a whole host of other things.
