Is taking down bosses in New World just getting too easy for you? Well, today's your lucky day, because now you can take on 20 of them in one go.

That's right. In what can only be assumed to be a bug, some bosses just won't stop spawning. This is causing unsuspecting players to get insta-killed before they have a chance to run away or defend themselves. It's not clear if this is being triggered accidentally - or if some are doing it on purpose in a dangerous attempt to grind for XP.

If you've been one of many players complaining about lag recently, this is likely to be the culprit. It's probably safe to say that the servers were not built to accommodate this many bosses on screen at once, so the performance issues may persist until it's patched out.

This isn't the only clip of what is hopefully just a bug. User Namastang shared a clip of their character being swarmed and killed within seconds of accidentally getting noticed by an ungodly number of enemies.

Today's New World update did actually address the enemy-spawn issue in one part of the map. According to the patch notes, the update has "fixed an issue causing twice the intended number of Boars to spawn at the Boarsholm POI in Restless Shores". Fingers crossed, the above examples aren't actually a feature, and this will be addressed in next week's update.
