Amazon's New World has been facing its share of launch issues. The game's limited server capacity has resulted in a number of players having to wait hours to get in. While Amazon has addressed these issues and started work on fixing them, there's another issue that the developer appears to be sweeping under the rug.

A large number of players have reported that they've been temporarily banned from the game and they're not sure why. Secondly, they have mentioned that no reason or intimation has been given after the ban.

"There are numerous comments in the Steam discussions regarding potential abuses in the 'banning' of players from the New World game," said one post on a Steam discussion thread. "These discussions illustrate the wide diversity of opinions on the type of behavior that warrants a ban. If any players feel offended or complain about behavior they don't like, the developer apparently can ban paying customers without any evidence to support that decision."

The post, as well as some of the comments went on to say that foul language shouldn't really be a reason to get banned, especially in a game which involves fighting and bloodshed. It appears that getting banned for the use of foul language is the only possible reason that they can think of.

Unfortunately, a few of the commenters have let their frustration get the better of them and started blaming "woke" culture and "left wing agendas" as the reason for their bans. While getting banned for using foul language conversationally is a bit harsh, the reason is probably an automated system that needs a bit of tweaking. That theory however, is also up for debate as a number of commenters have claimed that their posts and feedback regarding the auto-ban system have been deleted by Amazon. The developer has said that all bans are reviewed.

Streamer sonii has also taken to Twitter to complain about New World's banning system. "If there is any form of automated internal mass-report/ban feature in the game.. it needs to be removed or reconsidered.. ASAP," he wrote. "Email the player and actually explain WHAT they did wrong.. yet to receive any form of communication on why I was actually banned for 24 hours other than "Disruptive Behavior"".
