After launching on June 10, Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds has managed to reach $100 million in revenue in just 11 days. That puts it ahead of both Pokemon Go and Genshin Impact, which took 12 and 13 days, respectively.

Much of its revenue was derived from Japan, which spent a massive $45.6 million on the game in the days following launch. What's even more shocking is that Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds was only released in select regions – although it's unclear if its early success will carry over to new regions.

"Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds has had a stellar launch, quickly becoming the No. 2 earning mobile game in the world in just two weeks," Craig Chapple, mobile insights strategist at Sensor Tower, said. "While the title has been particularly lucrative during its opening salvo, early launch success for Asian RPGs isn’t something new, and what will matter most is how the title performs over the long term."

Not only did it hit $100 million at a blistering pace, but it also managed to place as one of the best performing games during its launch.

"During its first 11 days, the title was the No. 2 revenue generating mobile game worldwide, accumulating an estimated $101.3 million," Craig Chapple said. "The No. 1 mobile game by player spending globally across the App Store and Google Play was Honor of Kings from Tencent, which picked up $102.3 million during the same period, while PUBG Mobile, also from Tencent and localized as Game For Peace in China, ranked No. 3, generating $80.2 million."

Cross Worlds is a mobile MMORPG for both iOS and Android, featuring the usual gorgeous graphics the Ni No Kuni series is known for. Right now there's no indication as to when it'll make its way to a western audience, although it sounds like most regions won't get their hands on it until the beginning of 2022. Before then, you'll be able to play Revenant Kingdom on Nintendo Switch, which should be arriving in September.
