Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl has surprised fans with a new character launch, as GameMill Entertainment revealed an in-depth gameplay video showing off Hugh Neutron's moveset. Best of all, the developers have also announced that Hugh has been added to the game today and the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Universe Pack is currently available to buy right now.

In the video embedded below, we get a good look at Hugh's entire moveset, using pies and dad dancing as his neutral attacks as well as showcasing his ability to briefly "fly like a duck" and spike players with a pogo stick. The developer also gave us a look at some of his strong attacks, in which he'll attack players with Flippy and then bow to the crowd, use his height to improve his burping abilities, and whack opponents with his ukelele. Hugh also comes with full voice acting, courtesy of the show's voice actor Mark DeCarlo.

The surprise release of Hugh probably wasn't too surprising considering the date was actually leaked on the Nintendo Switch storefront not too long ago. First spotted by fans on the Nickelodeon Brawl subreddit, Hugh's DLC pack was listed on the storefront for release on August 5, although it wasn't confirmed by the developers that it was legit.

Of course, now we know it was, as Hugh has finally joined the roster after months of waiting. Nick Brawl's developers will be hoping that the introduction of Hugh will help the game's waning player base. Likely due to the release of MultiVersus, players have been struggling to get into matches as the game's peak player count only reached 52 last month and regularly drops below 10 according to SteamDB. A lot of people have been waiting for Hugh, so hopefully this brings some people back and problems get at least a little bit better.

Nickelodeon's All-Star Brawl is currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch.
