Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl has been out for a while now and continues to receive new content like characters, balance updates, and of course, stages. Each one of the over twenty stages in the game offers a glimpse into a Nickelodeon character's universe and creates the perfect space for a showdown.
Each stage benefits certain characters based on their size, recovery ability, and strength. Some levels rely on gimmicks to offer unpredictable outcomes, while others are more straightforward and simply offer a few platforms to fight on. Almost every stage has something unique and interesting about them, but others are more reliable for fun and incredible matches.
10 Wild Waterfall
If you like playing as heavier characters like Reptar or Powdered Toast Man, Wild Waterfall may be the perfect place to demolish your opponents. The stage itself is mostly vertical, so their poor recovery won't affect them as much here.
It's a decently-sized stage that encourages lengthy combos and strategic maneuvers in one-on-one combat, while also offering enough space for epic multiplayer battles. Logs fall down the waterfall and act as extra platforms to fight on - just don't get stuck between them as they fall into the water.
9 Omashu
Omashu is one of the largest stages in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl and is full of fun easter eggs for fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Momo is often seen flying around this area, as a certain cabbage salesman pokes his head around corners, trying to sell his precious cargo.
It's also a really fun stage to fight on. Omashu has many platforms in unique locations that require you to stay on your toes as opponents approach from every direction. Carts occasionally slide onto the stage, damaging anyone in their way. They aren't nearly as obnoxious as the carts in Glove World, and you can use them strategically to KO anyone with the right move.
8 The Flying Dutchman's Ship
Who fights on a pirate ship under the sea? You do! The Flying Dutchman's Ship is one of the spookiest stages with a unique design that creates the perfect environment for battle. It also features an amazing instrumental sea shanty to fight along to and an ominous full moon that illuminates the darker side of Bikini Bottom.
There are no hazards like falling logs or carts on this stage, so you can fight other characters without worrying about random gimmicks. If you can trap an opponent against the wall on the left side of the ship, you can unleash a fury of combos on them that can send them sailing towards Davy Jones's Locker.
7 Powdered Toast Trouble
Some people play games like Super Smash Bros. and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl to test their skills and become legends in the competitive scene. Others just enjoy chaos and love unpredictable mayhem. Powdered Toast Trouble is an exceptionally large stage with multiple hazard zones that can send you flying if you're not paying attention.
There is nothing worse than being at the wrong place at the wrong time. The sink and cereal bowl slowly suck you into them like quicksand if you stand on them, while toasters and frying pans deal out damage if you accidentally fall towards them. Kitchen safety is fundamental for cooking, but it can be easy to forget about when your enemies are trying to drown you in a bowl of milk.
6 Ghost Zone
Simplicity is often the key to success, and many of the best stages in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl don't require lethal tricks and gimmicks. Ghost Zone is one of the easier stages to understand after looking it at, and will require you to test your skills with any character without relying on other elements for KO's.
It's an average-sized stage with three platforms that move slowly over time. The background animation in the Ghost Zone is gorgeous as well, without being too distracting. An effective strategy to use here involves throwing your opponent between the two walls that hover over the stage and using combos to bounce them back and forth until they eventually get knocked out.
5 Harmonic Convergence
How can you have a stage in a platform fighting game without any platforms? Easily, actually. Harmonic Convergence is a horizontal stage that strips everything away and lets you fight without any obstacles. It's perfect for one-on-one matches to see who is the best fighter with a stellar background and epic battle music.
Harmonic Convergence is immediately evocative of the Final Destination stage that has appeared in every Super Smash Bros. title. Final Destination is one of the most popular maps in the competitive scene and Harmonic Convergence does a great job replicating its traits while also feeling special in its own way.
4 Irken Armada Invasion
Irken Armada Invasion also takes a popular design from the Super Smash Bros. series and finds a way to make it feel at home in the Nickelodeon universe. This stage features a large platform to fight on, as well as three smaller platforms above it for extra support.
This stage doesn't improve any singular character's chances of winning and is one of the best stages for one-on-one combat. Whether you prefer playing as lighter characters with lightning-fast combos or characters with slow mobility but powerful attacks, Irken Armada Invasion is the great equalizer that will truly put your skills to the test.
3 Jellyfish Fields
Ah, the ocean. It's full of fascinating wildlife, sunken treasure, and the infamous Jellyfish Fields. Composed of two platforms - one large platform for the main brawl, and another one above it that moves back and forth - it's another simple stage design that offers a plethora of interesting combat possibilities.
Jellyfish Fields has everything you need from a Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl stage. It's full of cameos from the SpongeBob SquarePants series, it's an excellent choice for multiplayer battles, and the soothing ukuleles and slide guitars in the music track are perfectly juxtaposed to the chaos happening on screen.
2 Slime Time
While it's unfortunate that Marc Summers, host of the hit Nickelodeon show Double Dare, is not a playable character in All-Star Brawl, the show is still represented in the game with the stellar Slime Time stage. Oddly released alongside Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Slime Time is one of the most fun and creative stages in the game.
It's a large stage, but not nearly as big as Powdered Toast Trouble or even Omashu. There is plenty of room for strategic combos and maneuvers, but just watch out for the pool of slime that covers the bottom of the stage. If you spend too much time in it, you will drown while the studio audience cheers from the background.
1 Sweet Dreams
Sweet Dreams are made of these - giant pizzas, a saucy lasagna, and an amazing jazz-influenced track that plays when you select this stage from the world of Garfield. It's one of the most visually dazzling stages to fight on while also showcasing some good-looking food that may leave you hungry after a crushing defeat or triumphant victory.
Its aesthetic may be a tad overwhelming at first, but Sweet Dreams is another simple stage that leans away from gimmicks to create the perfect environment for a brawl. Whether you are playing multiplayer with friends or facing off one-on-one for the last slice of a pizza, Sweet Dreams is guaranteed to satisfy your craving for combat with its amazing atmosphere and delicious design.
