The announcement of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl certainly came as a surprise, to fighting game fans and cartoon enthusiasts alike. Taking inspiration from the likes of Super Smash Bros., Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl brings together characters from the company’s history to duke it out in arena matches. Competitors include characters from SpongeBob Squarepants, Invader Zim, and even Ren and Stimpy. It’s also great seeing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles make an appearance as well. The character options are almost as wild as some of the zaniest suggestions for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC fighters.RELATED: Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl: Hilarious Smash Bros X Nickelodeon MemesThe roster definitely seems stacked, though some fighters making their way to the arena are still unknown at the time of writing. While it’s great to see fan-favorites make the cut, there are certainly plenty of underrated mascots that deserve a spot on the roster too.

10 Moose And Zee: A Good Mix Of Strength And Smarts

Nickelodeon viewers who grew up watching the early-morning Noggin block will remember this moose and bird duo. Acting as a teacher of sorts to the viewers, Moose would ask questions while Zee would communicate with various blinks.

While a non-violent, educational duo might not seem like a great fit for a fighter (educational and fun is a tough mix to get right), there are certainly plenty of opportunities for an interesting moveset here. Similar to a character like Duck Hunt or Pikmin's Captain Olimar from the Super Smash Bros. games, Moose could be the muscle, while Zee offered her support by flying around.

9 Crazy Steve: A True Wild-Card Character

Hostile, aggressive, and defensive over his enchiladas, Crazy Steve was definitely a fan-favorite character in Drake and Josh. Jerry Trainor’s performance is a memorable one, and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl could definitely use a wildcard like Crazy Steve in the roster.

Using his unbridled speed, ability to yell some of the most bizarre things around and his love for Dora the Explorer, he would make a formidable foe for any fighter in the arena. With his sheer unpredictability, he could have a truly varied and formidable moveset in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl.

8 Swiper: An Unlikely Kirby Clone

“Swiper, no swiping!” Relentless thief and constant nuisance for the titular young explorer in Dora The Explorer, Swiper would make an interesting fighter thanks to his special set of skills. While unsuccessful at every attempt to outsmart Dora, maybe the developers could cut him some slack and allow him to steal other fighters’ abilities and items.

In the same fashion as the ever-adorable Kirby (even his enemies are cute)’s copy ability in Super Smash Bros., Swiper could probably adopt his foes' talents. Instead of having a particularly strong skill set, maybe he could use his trickery to gain the upper hand. However he might hypothetically play, it would be great to see Swiper in the game.

7 Winslow: Definitely A Sneaky Fighter

This wisecracking blue mouse lives in a hole in the wall of the titular CatDog's abode. While small, he definitely knows how to hold his own, thanks to his tough, streetwise attitude. He’s also known to crack wise with his housemates.

While he would definitely be smaller than most other combatants if added, he could more than make up for that in speed. Maybe he could tunnel his way around arenas or build doors to escape from once things get too heavy? Swift, elusive fighters are genre mainstays, and Winslow would be a solid example.

6 Daggett And Norbert Beaver: A Tag-Team Dream

These two beaver siblings live in a bachelor pad in the Pacific Northwest. Though they’re brothers, they tend to bicker constantly and cause each other as much harm as possible. Regardless, their chaotic nature could potentially make them great fighters.

Perhaps, a la the Ice Climbers of Super Smash Bros., players would control both of them tethered together, allowing for double damage as well as an interesting balancing act. Maybe they'd be able to summon Wolffe D. Wolf or even their bear friend Barry Bear. Regardless of whether or not The Angry Beavers' angry beavers make it, hopefully there is at least a reference to Stump in the game.

5 Hugh Neutron: Slapstick Pie-Throwing Combat Would Ensue

Jimmy Neutron’s pie-loving, duck-obsessed father is certainly one of the most memorable characters from the series. Fans would love to see this quirky man included in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. It would make sense, toom since there isn’t really a better representative from The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius to join the ranks and duke it out.

Maybe Hugh could use pies as an attack while summoning ducks in combat. Even better, his film alter-ego Pie Man could even make an appearance to save the day (or win the match).

4 Artie, The Strongest Man In The World: Brute Strength And Charm

Toby Huss as Artie, the Strongest Man in the World, from Pete and Pete flexing in the middle of a field

"Artie, the Strongest Man... in the World!" Living in what appears to be a porta-potty but still doing what he can to help children, Artie is definitely a bizarre superhero. While he leaves many questions unanswered and his true power is unknown, he would definitely make a great inclusion in this game.

It would be nice for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl to embrace every facet of Nickelodeon history, and ensure that more live-action shows (such as All That, Amanda Show, and Clarissa Explains It All) get some representation as well.

3 Man Ray: Lots Of Delightfully Dastardly Potential

Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy’s arch-nemesis definitely deserve a spot on the roster. It has already been confirmed that Ren and Stimpy’s Powdered Toast Man is in the game, so seeing another superhero-style fighter would be brilliant.

Man Ray could play similarly to Captain Falcon in Super Smash Bros. Incredibly fast, lots of combo potential but with very few ranged abilities. Perhaps, too, the developers will be able to bring in other Mermaid Man and Barnacle favorites, like the Dirty Bubble.

2 The Action League: A Solid Team Of Quirky Heroes

Various members of The Action League posing with the title of their show on Kablam

This group of plastic superheroes consisted of The Flesh, Thundergirl, Stinky Diver, and Meltman. A recurring segment on KaBlam, these superpowered toys had distinct abilities that ranged from underwhelming to silly and utterly impractical. Internal squabbling and disagreements usually got in the way of whichever adventure they were on.

Incorporating them into the game would be an interesting challenge. Maybe they could appear as one slot on the roster, simple palette swaps of each other? Maybe one of the Action League members could be chosen as the series' representation for the game. Regardless, a callback to one of modern animation’s more unconventional super-teams deserves a spot in the cast.

1 Henry And June: A Little Bit Of Everything

Henry-and-June from Kablam standing with other characters from the show surrounding them

If the developers don’t want to spend a slot on an individual KaBlam character, they could just include the hosts of the show instead. Henry and June were the animated hosts of KaBlam, showing up in between segments with their own bits and gags. They introduced every short and closed the show out with a short segment themselves.

Ideally, their moveset should encompass everything about KaBlam, with callbacks to different sketches like Life with Loopy, Sniz and Fondue, Prometheus and Bob, and the aforementioned Action League Now. The possibilities are endless, making them a great fit for this less-than-serious fighter. For the game to be able to compete for genre fans' time with excellent conventional fighters like Guilty Gear Strive, its roster will need to be varied and fun.
