Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is finally here, but it's going to take a lot of grinding if you want to unlock its platinum trophy.

It's finally Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl launch day. The Super Smash Bros-inspired fighter is available now on consoles and PC and appears to be going down a storm so far. It is already among the best sellers on Steam, trading first place with Amazon's incredibly popular MMORPG, New World.

If you're opting to play All-Star Brawl on PS4 or PS5, then you can now check out the game's trophy list before you pick up a copy. Since the game is neither story nor level-driven, most of its trophies are pretty straightforward. The list also isn't a very long one with 25 trophies to unlock. Despite that, odds are it's going to take players quite a while to get their hands on that elusive platinum.

While some of the trophies will come pretty easy, such as “complete in your first local battle” and “complete an online quickplay match”, others are going to require a fair bit of grinding. Completing the game's arcade mode with every single brawler, for example. Even if running through it once is a short affair, you will have to do it 20 times to unlock the corresponding trophy.

That isn't the only trophy that is going to take a lot of effort to unlock. “Complete an arcade run without losing a single stock” sounds like one that could get pretty frustrating very fast. You'll also need to compete in 50 local battles and 50 quickplay battles. You will unlock a trophy for each of those, bringing you two steps closer to All-Star Brawl's platinum.

It's rather fortuitous that All-Star Brawl has launched on the same day that the final DLC fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was announced. Kingdom Hearts' Sora completes its roster. All-Star Brawl's devs actually threw a little shade at Nintendo earlier this week, saying that they will listen to their players when it comes to the Nick game's future. Smash has been guilty of being a little tone-deaf in the past, but Sora seems to be a welcome addition for most of its players.
