There’s another Genshin Impact leak out there, and this one’s a doozy. The information, allegedly taken from Hoyoverse’s internal servers, contained all of Genshin Impact’s plans for the next nine months, going from update 3.3 to update 3.8.We’re not sure if this is a leak or if it was a hack, but Games Radar reports the information started making the rounds last weekend. Called a “tsunami” of information, it contains new weapons, bosses, characters, events, and areas, including details on Fontaine, the new larger region scheduled for release in July 2023.Related: Genshin Impact Needs To Slow Down The Huge Content DropsRoughly 36 weeks of content is contained in the leak, although much of it is text-based as the leak was server-side. According to other Genshin fans, the leak contains the names and account information of QA testers, so we’re not going to link to that information in order to protect those individuals. Relevant and sanitized information is being disseminated on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit, so go search for that if you just can’t help but spoil yourself.

This is basically the Panama Papers of Genshin leaks, so expect to hear updates on this story for quite a while.

The rabid fascination with Genshin Impact's future is just one sign of the franchise's massive success. It's so successful, in fact, that Microsoft is kicking itself for not getting in on the ground floor. Microsoft is now reportedly "wooing independent studios with big-money offers" hoping to find the next Genshin Impact before it hits big. Microsoft is also hoping to grow its mobile gaming presence, which something like Genshin would be a godsend. No word yet on whether Microsoft has found any likely candidates. We’ll probably find out along with everyone else as soon as Genshin has a real competitor.
